Scanning Electron Microscopes – Supply And Installation Of The Latest Generation Desktop Scanning Electron Microscope (Sem) For The Department Of Chemistry And Process And Resources Engineering, With The Aim Of Carrying Out Structural Analysis Of Nanoparticles And Nanomaterials (Erc Starting Grant 2023 Aid , Project Nanogrowdirect, Grant Agreement 101115164 Funded By The Horizon Europe Program Of The European Union). In Order To Understand The Nucleation And Growth Processes Of Nanoparticles Directly On The Surfaces Of Various Materials (Oxide, Metals, Polymers), It Is Essential To Decipher The Intimate Mechanisms That Govern These Processes. In Recent Years, Electron Microscopy Has Become The Technique Of Choice In Nanochemistry And Materials Science, Thanks To The Development Of New Technologies. Therefore, A Scanning Electron Microscope Is Acquired That Allows The Structural Resolution Of The Synthesized Nanostructures, With The Possibility Of Analyzing The Shape, Size, Composition, Distribution, And Orientation Of Said Structures. A State-Of-The-Art Desktop Sem Makes It Possible To Achieve The Necessary Resolution To Carry Out The Necessary Analyses, And At The Same Time It Carries The Possibility Of Analyzing A High Number Of Samples Quickly, Allowing The Management Of The Number Of Samples That Are Anticipated To Be Produced (May Than 100 Per Week). The Microscope Would Be The Only One Of Its Kind In Cantabria And One Of The First Of Its Kind In Spain. The Microscope Will Represent An Important Resource For The Entire Department Of Chemistry And Process And Resources Engineering, And The University Of Cantabria.
