Bids Are Invited For Custom Bid for Services - Work Contract for Operation of Facilities At Hemrl As Per Specification - 1.1 Solid Rocket Propellant Division (SRP) The work consists of preparation and mixing of raw material both liquid and solid motor case preparation and assembly, propellant casting, curing and post- cure operations for both large and small scale motors. The job includes transportation of heavy and hazardous stores from one process building to another, within HEMRL Sutarwadi, routine facility readiness etc. Work also includes running and operation of various equipments and utilities, instruments. 1.2 Testing Evaluation Group: TEG The work consists of assembly & static testing of various types or Rocket Motors, cleaning of Rocket Motor and components, Preparation of Nozzle closures, gaskets. Modification of sub-systems as and when required, Machining of spacers, grids liners, adaptors for pressure gauge and load cell and other accessories as per the requirements of various projects. Loading of grain, fitment of igniter and complete assembly of rocket motor, Transportation of BEM motors to conditioning chambers, static bay and loading and unloading of rocket motors, Transportation of stores to the test range, Readiness of test bed and trolley and other components, Mounting of rocket motor fitting of Pyro, load cell etc Preparation of propellant strands, insertion of fuse wire and mounting on firing panel, cleaning of the bomb, panels etc and operation of Stand Burner. 1.3 Igniter Division (IGN) The work consists of preparation of ingredients for processing of various compositions required for different type of igniters. To handle pelleting machine, Preparation of different type of igniters, Evaluation and testing of igniters for qualification in instrumentation division, Igniter assembly in close vessel and vented vessel and vented vessel for firing. Mounting of assembled motor on firing trolley and handling of solvents for cleaning of components 1.4. Instrumentation Division (INST) The work consists of operation of instrumentation systems, laying of signal and firing cables. Readiness of static test bed, trolleys, V-blocks and other fixtures, mounting of the gauges and load cell on the rocket motor and connection of the respective cables. Cleaning, preparation and assembly of close vessel components for CV firing, cleaning the primer adapter and pressure gauge adapter for Pyro cartridge, Igniters and primers testing shifting/Transportation of hardware, General upkeep of facility by cleaning of bomb rooms, magazine and surrounding area, Setup and operation of Analog and Digital instrument; assistance in calibration of pressure transducer & load cells; Back-up or preservation of data, preparation of documents, generation of results/reports. Handling and transporting of materials and instruments to various trial sites/buildings. Loading and unloading of boxes/equipment in transport vehicles, assistance in Video Systems, assistance in Operation of HEMRL internal communication service, support for Preparation of documents, maintenance of records, preparation of sketches and drawings. 1.5 Gun Propellant System (GPS) The scope of work consists of preparation for the ingredients for the processing of gun propellants. The manufacturing process of gun propellant involves repetitive cycles of assembling die holder weighing approx. 10 kgs loading extrusion and cutting. The work involves the operation of incorporators, extruders, cutting machines, drying in the oven and transporting finished products to magazine. Work involves Slurry preparation to assemble sets & drying of sets. Scopes of work also includes operation of utility equipment's, assembly of ammunition packing and transportation of store to trial centre, processing of propellant. Pyro Division (EED and FSD) 1.6 The work consists of preparation and mixing of solid raw material, assembly of moulds and filling with pyrotechnic compositions. The job includes transportation of hazardous stores viz. metallic fuel powder and oxidizers from magazines to process buildings and back, assembly of moulds and processing of pyrotechnic compositions. Work also includes running And operating of various equipments like drying ovens, sieves mixers, blenders hydraulic presses, sensitivity determination instruments and operation of battery operated listers. 1.7 High Explosives Division (HE) The scope of work encompasses preparation and mixing of raw materials both liquid and solid, case (mould/warhead) preparation and assembly, casting/ rolling pressing/filling of explosive/explosive, curing of formulations and post cure operation including machining. Scope also includes filling of explosives in metal tubes, drawing of explosive filled metal tubes and coating as well as braiding of explosive filled metal tubes. The job also involves transportation of heavy and hazardous stores from one process building to another. The work package also includes running and operating of various equipments and like presses utilities like compressors, vacuum pumps, generator, and refrigerator etc, approximately 2000 kg warhead to be processed and tested and to process 6000 kg of composition. Work involves Cleaning and drying of empty fuel cylinders, Loading and unloading of fuel cylinders, Cleaning and drying of warheads, Filling of fuel in the warheads, Sieving and mixing of metal powders like Aluminium, Levelling/ preparation of area for static trial, laying of mines, etc at different ranges located in Pune. 1.8 Quality Assurance and Reliability Division (QARD) Work includes collection of chemicals and other items from different divisions for testing, Loading, unloading of material from transport vehicle, shifting of gas cylinders, cleaning of laboratory-wares and up keeping of equipment. 1.9 Imaging, Detection, Evaluation and Analysis (IDEA) The work consists of preparation of photographic chemicals (Developer & fixer solutions) loading unloading of X-ray films, placing of cassettes in radiographic bay, transportation of cassettes LINAC equipment by laying of pipes, cables developing of x-ray films etc. 1.10 Energetic Material Research division (EMR) Work includes analysis of HEM's, collection of chemicals and other items from different divisions unloading of material from transport vehicle, sifting of gas cylinders, cleaning of laboratory-wares and up keeping of equipment Assistance in synthesis of energetic material 1.11 Explosion Dynamics Division (ED) Preparation of trial site and the main work to be performed under the work contract are arranging stack of target plates and removing for post trial observations. To handle charge and arranging war heads in position for various tests. 1.12 Material Engineering Division(MEG) Activities involve handling of material, hardware and operation of the various plants and equipment operation of the various utilities like air compressor, boiler, thermo pack chilled water plant, hot and cold water system, vacuum pump, chemical transportation pump, water pump, etc are the part of activities under work contract. Collection of chemicals from bulk storage facilities to the laboratories, shifting of various gas cylinders, cleaning of laboratory equipment's. NM operation of pilot plants, plasma facilities, bulk handling of various gas cylinders, analysis of raw materials and finished products. 1.13 Safety Engineering Division (SED) Activities involve handling of material, and test of instruments, Internal Safety Surveillance Audit reports. Correspondence in connection with external safety audits. Minutes of various meetings like SSC, QMRC. etc. Half yearly returns reports. LPS and ESDS reports for more than 150 bldgs. SHE Bulletin during National Safety Week. Reports on work place area monitoring (effluent analysis, drinking water analysis & sound level monitoring) etc. Course material for Training course on Safety in local language. . . 1.14 Mechanical Engineering Division (MED) Activities involve handling of material, hardware and operation of the machines, loading of jobs on the machines, cleaning of equipment, unloading of material from transport vehicle and housekeeping activities.
