The Aim Of The Marickenland Sub-Area 1 Project Is To Realize Nature With Recreational Shared Use. Nature Realization Is Necessary To Restore And Strengthen Biodiversity In Marickenland Within The Netherlands Nature Network (Nnn), So That Marickenland Forms A Robust Ecological Link Between The N2000 Areas Of Botshol And Nieuwkoopse Plassen. The Primary Nature Objective Is To Develop A Swamp In Which Fauna Can Pass To Nature Reserves North (Groot Mijdrecht North East) And South (Gagelgebied, Veldwetering) Of Marickenland, But Also Regionally Towards Nieuwkoopse Plassen And Vechtplassen. Naturally, Marickenland Must Also Become A Habitat In Itself Where Populations Can Arise And Reside. Recreational Shared Use Comes From The Wishes Of The Residential Areas And The Municipality Of De Ronde Venen, Who Indicate That There Is A Need For Recreational Facilities. The Total Plan Area Has An Area Of ​​Approximately 295 Hectares, Of Which The Layout For Sub-Area 1, Which Is Now Being Put Out To Tender, Has An Area Of ​​Approximately 150 Hectares.
