Bids Are Invited For Custom Bid for Services - NLCIL BTPS TM Water Carrier System Biennial Maintenance Contract for O and M of Mechanical Equipments for the period 2024 2026 - PREVENTIVE AND BREAKDOWN MAINTENANCE- PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE OF VERTICAL TURBINE PUMP - The following checks should be carried out, noted defects to be attended and records maintained: 1. Oil level in thrust bearing 2. Gland rope and gland fasteners checking and attending. 3. Cooling water line checking and attending. 4. Checking of Air release valve. 5. Noise, vibration readings are to be taken. 6. Dirt, dust removal in the water/ lube line of TBH through strainer regularly 7. All operating parameters to be recorded before and after taking up PM works. 8. Gland area to be cleaned and painted. 9. All view glasses in the pump to be cleaned, , AIR COMPRESSOR AND SYSTEM ACCESSORIES - 1. Inspection and tightening of belt 2. Checking oil level and topping up 3. Checking and attending valve operation etc. 4. Checking Cooling water, Compressed air piping, air chamber etc. for any leak and rectifying the same 5. Cleaning air filters 6. Other PM works related to Air compressor System as per instruction of NLC Engineers, VENTILATION SYSTEM 1. Maintenance of centrifugal fans and its accessories, axial flow (propeller type, tube axial), propeller type fans. 2. Cleaning of filters 3. Checking noise, vibration 4. General cleaning 5. Duct cleaning etc., FIRE EXTINGUISHERS Maintenance of all types of fire extinguishers with accessories in all locations and replacement, if necessary, as per the instruction of NLCIL Fire Officer. 1. Checking of pressure in fire extinguishers. 2. General cleaning. 3. Re-location if needed etc., SUMP PUMP The following checks must be carried out, noted defects to be rectified and records maintained as per details furnished hereunder. 1. Noise, vibration. 2. Choking of impeller or casing to be checked. 3. Checking of seal leak, General cleaning. 4. Checking of oil level, lubrication etc., 5. Pump and motor bearing temperature manually. 6. Proper supply of grease to bearings. 7. Water level in the sump. 8. Working of grease pumps., SUBMERSIBLE PUMP The following check should be carried out, noted defects to be rectified and records maintained as below: 1. Noise and vibration. 2. Choking of impeller or casing to be checked. 3. Checking of seal leak, General cleaning. 4. Checking of oil level, lubrication etc., SLUICE GATES, STOP LOG GATES AND TRASH SCREEN The following check should be carried out and records maintained as per details furnished hereunder. 1. Proper operation of gates. 2. General cleaning. 3. Greasing at required areas. 4. Check for any damages and rectifying the same, ELECTRIC HOIST The following check should be carried out and rectifying the noted defects and records maintained as per details furnished hereunder. 1. Checking the trolley traveling and hoisting motions corresponds to the pendent push button symbols. 2. Grease/Lubricate the drum bearings and gear shaft bearings. 3. Checking of grease / oil in gearbox and filling up. 4. Check and grease rope guide and rope drum. 5. Check that wire rope guide has not been subjected to strain caused by lifting load at an angle. 6. Checking of wear in the wire rope. 7. Checking of wire rope clamps on drum and wire rope end anchor on trolley. 8. Applying cadmium compound in the wire ropes. 9. General cleaning. 10. Checking and adjusting all brake shoes., UNDERSLUNG CRANES 1. All gear box oil levels to be checked and topped up if required 2. Wheel bearings, bottom block bearings are to be greased., 3. Exposed gear drives are to be greased. 4. All linkage systems and hinges like brake hinge pins and linkages, door hinges, etc., are to be oiled. 5. Ropes are to be lubricated and inspected for any possible damage. 6. Brakes are to be inspected and adjusted. 7. Toothed couplings are to be lubricated. 8. Tightening of all fixing nuts and screws and particularly that of couplings is to be checked. 9. General cleaning of all components and connected areas., MOTOR OPERATED VALVES SIZE-500/700mm 1. Routine inspection and check for damages, faults, etc., 2. Replacement of gaskets/gland ropes 3. Tightening the body /bonnet joint studs & nuts properly, so that there should not be any leakage from the joint. 4. Valve freeness to be checked and rectified., DIFFERENT TYPE VALVES SIZE UP TO 200mm 1. Routine inspection and check for damages, faults, etc., 2. Replacement of gaskets/gland ropes 3. Tightening the body /bonnet joint studs & nuts properly, so that there should be no leakage from the joint. 4. Valve freeness to be checked and rectified, MANUAL OPERATED VALVES SIZE - 500/700mm 1. Routine inspection and check for damages, faults, etc. 2. Replacement of gaskets/ gland ropes. 3. Tightening the body /bonnet joint studs & nuts properly, so that there should be no leakage from the joint. 4. Valve freeness to be checked and rectified., BYPASS LINE & SERVICE LINE 1. Maintenance of pumps, pipes and valves etc. and other works as per the instruction of NLC Engineer 2. Maintenance of bypass line and valves., SCREENS - PH-I&II 1. Avail work permit. 2. Lift Screen Segments from fore bay. 3. Clean the Screen Segments. 4. Check the Screen Mesh. 5. Re-fix the cleaned segments and fix back in fore bay. 6. Clean and clear the area., AIR RELEASE VALVES SIZE-150/200mm 1. Routine inspection and check for damages, faults, etc., 2. Replacement of gaskets/ gland ropes. 3. Tightening the body /bonnet joint studs & nuts properly, so that there should not be any leakage from the joint., MANUALLY OPERATED BUTTER FLY VALVES-500/700mm 1. Gear box freeness to be checked and attended. 2. Proper supply of grease to bearing and coupling block to be checked and if required grease to be filled up. 3. All mounting fasteners to be checked for tightness. 4. Mechanical to be checked and adjusted. 5. General cleaning., ELECTRICALLY OPERATED BUTTER FLY VALVES-500/700mm 1. Gear box freeness to be checked and attended. 2. Proper supply of grease to bearing and coupling block to be checked and if required grease to be filled up. 3. All mounting fasteners to be checked for tightness. 4. Mechanical and Electric limits to be checked and adjusted. 5. General cleaning, METALLIC EXPANSION JIONT 1. Proper tightening of nuts and fasteners. 2. Any leakages to be attended. 3. If necessary small leakage portions to be welded, VALVES LESS THEN 100m 1. Clean & check the parts. 2. Replace defective parts. Re-assemble the valve with spare parts. 3. Check the seat sealing and smooth operation. 4. Clean and clear the area., PUMP SUCTION SCREEN 1. Avail work permit. 2. Identify the screen mesh damage if any while cleaning. 3. Paint the screen segment. 4. Re-transport the cleaned segments to fore bay and fix it back. 5. Clean and clear the area, RECONDITIONING OF GATES 1. Avail work permit. 2. Identify the damage if any while cleaning. 3. Remove the damaged segment and fix new segment or reconditioned one. 4. Paint the segment. 5. Re-transport the cleaned segments to fore bay. 6. Clean and clear the area., ARV ORIFFICE BALL 1. Avail work permit. 2. Remove top cover of ARV. 3. Clean or change the ball and refixed back. 4. General cleaning., GERNAL WORKS CRANE & HOIST (Overhead/Under slung) 1. Avail work permit. 2. Check the shoes (2 Nos.) from site. 3. Adjust the linings. 4. General cleaning and other works., DG SET 1. Avail work permit. 2. Drain engine oil and top up oil. 3. Drain coolant and fill fresh coolant. 4. Clean/replace oil, air filters. 5. General cleaning, BREAKDOWN MAINTENANCE - CRANES (Overhead/Under slung) WORK 1. Avail work permit. 2. Arrangement of scaffoldings. 3. Check the Brakes lining and other component of cranes.(Hook, hook bearing) 4. Hook bearing, Break lining change if required. 5. Dismantle, check and clean the parts. 6. Renew the worn out parts if necessary and assemble it. 7. Filling oil if necessary. Clean and clear the area, OVERHAUL OF VERTICAL TURBINE PUMP 1. Avail work permit. 2. Remove external pipe connections and loosen the coupling bolts. 3. Remove the motor. 4. Remove the pump assembly, column pipe and dismantling. 5. Cleaning of components and column pipes. 6. Drawl of spares from stores and replacement of worn-out parts. 7. Painting of components internally and externally (two coats). 8. Assembly and re-erection of pump and column pipes 9. Fix the motor. 10. Check the Thrust bearing clearance and align the Motor and pump. 11. Couple the Motor and pump and external pipe connections. 12. Trial run and attending the defects, if any. 13. Clean and clear the area, OVERHAUL OF CENTRIFUGAL FANS 1. Maintenance of centrifugal fans and its accessories, axial flow (propeller type, tube axial), propeller type fans. 2. Cleaning of filters and open full assembly of fan. 3. Cleaning and repair/replacement of bearings, impeller, ducts 4. Checking noise, vibration. 5. Color to the fan assembly. 6. Duct maintenance and trail run etc., OVERHAUL OF SUMP PUMP 1. Ensure isolation of Pump. 2. Lifting the pump. 3. Dismantling, cleaning, inspection and replacing the damaged parts. 4. Reassembling the pump after cleaning. 5. Fixing the pump in its position. 6. Checking Alignment. 7. Taking trial run & Handing over., OVERHAUL/REPLACEMENT OF VALVES SIZE-UP TO 200 mm 1. Dismantle the valve to be overhauled. 2. Clean & check the parts. 3. Replace defective parts. 4. Re-assemble the valve with spare parts. 5. Check the seat sealing and smooth operation. 6. Paint the valve body. 7. Clean and clear the area, OVERHAUL OF SERVICE WATER pump and LINE 1. Maintenance of pumps, pipes and valves etc. and other works as per the instruction of NLCIL Engineers 2. Service line welding, pipe replacement and related major works as per NLCIL Engineer. 3. ½” and 1” valve, bends, sockets, float and other consumables will be in contractor’s scope., ALIGNMENT OF VERTICAL PUMP & MOTOR 1. Avail work permit. 2. Remove the coupling bolts. 3. Align the pump and motor after motor replacement. 4. Check the coupling bush. Change if necessary. 5. Couple the Motor and pump after cleaning the coupling bolts. 6. Fixing the coupling bolts., OVERHAUL/REPLACEMENT OF VALVES SIZE-500/700mm 1. Avail work permit, 2. Removal of gear box from the valve. 3. Dismantle the gear box, clean and checking of parts. 4. Correct the defects of part or Replace the part. 5. Assembling of gear box and mounting on the shaft of valve, painting the valve 6. Check the operation. 7. Clean and clear the area 8. Rubber seal/rope up to 5 mm in contractor scope, CHANGING FLAP SEAL/GB/ACTUATOR IN VALVES SIZE-500/700mm 1. Avail work permit 2. Open the manhole door. Remove the Allen screws and remove the damaged flap seal. 3. Clean the flap seal area, flap seal segments and screw holes. 4. Fix new flap seal and tighten the Allen screws. 5. Checking clearances and closing of valve. 6. Check the performance of valve closing and opening. 7. Attend defect if any. Close the manhole doors. 8. Clean and clear the area., REPLACEMENT OF METALLIC EXPANSION JOINTS 1. Avail work permit 2. Remove the flange bolts. 3. Removal of Metallic Expansion Joint. 4. Fix the New Metallic Expansion Joint and paint two coats. 5. Fix to the flanges and tightening the bolts. 6. Check the performance and clear the area., OVERHAUL /REPLACEMENT NRV 1. Dismantle the valve to be overhauled. 2. Clean & check the parts. Replace defective parts. 3. Re-assemble the valve with spare parts or changing the valve with new one. 4. Check the seat sealing and smooth operation. 5. Clean and clear the area, BEARING REPLACEMENT IN VERTICAL TURBINE 1. Remove the external pipe connections. 2. Remove the coupling bolts and remove the motor. 3. Remove bearing housing, dismantle & remove the old bearing. 4. Cleaning, assembling with new bearings using bearing heating device at thermal station. 5. Positioning in pump and tightening, 6. Align the pump and motor after motor replacement. 7. Check the coupling bush. Change if necessary. 8. Clean the coupling bolts and nuts 9. Couple the Motor and pump. 10. Connect external pipes., BREAKDOWN/ OVERHAUL OF AIR COMPRESSOR 1. Avail LC. 2. Remove all the connection of inlet and outlet pipe line and remove choke, 3. Remove the filters and replace or clean as per NLCIL engineer, 4. Cleaning all the filters, replace the seals for the exhaust and inlet manifold, 5. Check the piston & inspect. if necessary, replace piston rings as directed by NLC engineer. 6. Replacement/top up of oil as per requirement. 7. Clean or replace the part of cooling plant as directed by NLCIL engineer, 8. Reassemble all the equipments. 9. Trial run, BREAKDOWN WORK OF COMPRESSOR FRAME & RUNNING GEAR 1. Avail LC. 2. Remove all the connection of inlet and outlet pipe line and remove choke, 3. Remove the filters and replace or clean as per NLCIL engineer. 4. Open compressor frame or gear box, attend to the defects if any or replace the gear. 5. Reassemble all the equipments. 6. Trial run. 7. Normalizing, BREAKDOWN WORK OF COMPRESSOR CYLINDER 1. Avail LC. 2. Remove all the connection of inlet and outlet pipe line and remove choke, 3. Remove the filters and replace or clean as per NLCIL engineer. 4. Open compressor cylinder, attend to the defects if any or replace the cylinder. 5. Reassemble all the equipments. 6. Trial run. 7. Normalizing, COMPRESSOR INLET/DISCHARGE VALVE OR MOTOR INSTALLATION 1. Avail LC. 2. Remove connecting pipes from the inlet/outlet location. 3. Replace the damage portion of the valve or completely replace the valve/motor. 4. Reassemble the compressor. 5. Trial run. 6. Normalize., BYPASS LINE PUNCTURE ATTENDING WORKS AT PH-I&II 1. Avail LC. 2. Welding /repair of leakage/punctured portion. 3. Normalizing., BYPASS LINE PIPE CHANGING WORK 1. Avail LC. 2. Dismantle & remove old line by cutting., 3. Fixing new pipe line and alignment. 4. Welding the joint and painting. 5. Normalizing., SIDE SEAL IN FOREBAY GATES 1. Avail LC. 2. Provide Dummy gate. 3. Lift and remove stop log gate and transport to work site. 4. Remove all the seal bolts. Remove the damaged side seal. 5. Cleaning of all parts. 6. Fixing of new side seal & securing the same with bolts & nuts. 7. Re-fixing the stop log gate in its original position. 8. Removal of dummy gate. 9. Normalizing., GATES FOUNDATION REPAIR 1. Avail LC. 2. Remove the stop log gate from the foundation. 3. Cutting out the damaged portion. 4. Providing new foundation channel & welding. 5. Fixing back the stop log gate in position., MS PIPE LINE REPAIR/FABRICATION 1. Identification of puncture. 2. Earth digging for dewatering. 3. Moving DG Set and diesel engine operated sump pump to site. 4. Dewatering and draining of water. 5. Excavations/dismantles of structure at the punctured area. 6. Cutting the pipe spool piece and ground finish. 7. Transportation, Sizing of new pipe line spool piece and positioning at site. 8. Alignment and grinding and fabrication of flange/bend if required. 9. Preparation for welding and joining the pipes layer by layer welding or by V-groove welding. 10. Correct the position of pipe after work. 11. Charging the pipe line slowly and check for leaks. 12. Normalizing., GRP PIPE PUNCTURE 1. Identification of puncture 2. Earth digging for dewatering. 3. Moving DG Set and diesel engine operated sump pump to site. 4. Dewatering and draining of water. 5. Excavations of earth in punctured spot. 6. Cutting the hole and finish with grinding. 7. Positioning, aligning and grinding. 9. Preparation for lamination and joining the pipes layer by layer. 10. Back filling the pit by ramming. 11.
