Survey Services – Evaluations Of The “Cocoa4future (C4f)” Project Sustainability Of Production Systems And New Dynamics Of The Cocoa Sector. In 60 Years, African Cocoa Production Has Grown From 865,000 To 3 Million Tonnes, With Côte Divoire And Ghana Being The Two Main World Cocoa Producing Countries. Today, West African Cocoa Farmers Are, However, Exposed To Several Threats Such As The Expansion Of The Cocoa Swollen Shoot Virus (Cssv), Climate Change (Cc), Instability And The Downward Trend In World Prices, And Low Remuneration For Cocoa Farmers. Ivory Coast And Ghana Are Particularly Concerned Because These Two Countries Produce 70% Of The Worlds Cocoa. The Lack Of Sustainability Of The Current Cocoa Cultivation Model, With Little Or No Shade, Will Therefore Not Fail To Impact The Yield Of Cocoa Trees And Consequently The Income Of Cocoa Farmers. The Vulnerability Of Farms That Depend On This Speculation Will Thus Be Increased. The Spirit Of The C4f Project Is To Put Human Beings And The Environment At The Heart Of The Cocoa Farmer Of Tomorrow
