Prior Information Notice For Innovative System For Recovery And Valorization Of Phosphorus And/Or Ammonium Nitrogen From Anaerobic Digestion Effluent, To Complement Future Anaerobic Digestion Plant And Wastewater Treatment Plant. Innovative Treatment For The Liquid Fraction Of The Digestate After Phase Separation (Liquid Effluent), In Order To Meet Treatment Requirements In Wwtp, As Well As Recover Nutrients (Phosphorus And Nitrogen) In A Marketable Product. This Prior Information Notice (Pin) Communicates The Opening Of A Preliminary Market Consultation (Omc) Process And Provides Information On The Objective For A Potential Future Public Procurement Procedure. The Pin Is Not A Purchase Commitment. The Objective Of The Future Public Tender Is Twofold: Construction Of An Anaerobic Digestion Unit (With An Annual Capacity Of 60,000 Tons Of Food Waste) Complemented By A Wastewater Treatment Plant (Wwtp) Capable Of Recovering The Nutrients Present In The Liquid Digestate, Namely Phosphorus And Ammoniacal Nitrogen, To Produce One Or More Marketable Products And Treat Wastewater, Complying With Discharge Criteria And Applicable Legislation. There Are Similar Anaerobic Digestion Plants That Have A Wwtp To Treat The Effluent. However, These Wwtps Remove, But Do Not Recover, Ammonia Nitrogen And Phosphorus. The Main Objective, The Challenge To Be Investigated Through The Omc, Is Related To The Treatment Of The Liquid Fraction Of The Digestate (Liquid Effluent, After The Process Of Separating The Liquid And Solid Phases), Which Is Not Recirculated To The Digester. A Secondary Objective Is To Investigate Whether The Capacity Of The Nutrient Extraction Module Could Be Extended To The Entire Liquid Fraction Of The Digestate, After Phase Separation (To Also Include The Effluent That Is Recirculated), In Order To Improve Control Of The Nutrient Extraction Process. Anaerobic Digestion, Particularly In Relation To Nitrogen. The Solution Needs To Comply With Legal Discharge Requirements And Recover Nutrients (Phosphorus And Ammonia Nitrogen), To Produce One Or More Marketable Products. Both Nitrogen And Phosphorus Are Valuable Nutrients, Essential In The Composition Of Fertilizer Products, And Of Interest For Agriculture.
