A Concept Was Developed On Behalf Of The Aav To Further Target The Remediation Of Groundwater Contamination Caused By Chlorinated Volatile Hydrocarbons In Kaarst-Büttgen. This Includes The Construction Of A System Of Six Infiltration And Four Extraction Wells With Horizontal Filter Sections At Different Depths. The Well System Constructed In This Way Is To Be Used For Biological In-Situ Remediation. To Construct The Wells, After Drilling In A Quarter Circle, A Horizontal Drilling Is Then Carried Out And The Respective Wells Are Then Expanded. Seven Horizontal Wells Dn 50 Are To Be Built At A Depth Of 8 To 9 M Ugok With A Filter Section Of 12 M And Three Horizontal Wells Dn 50 At A Depth Of 11 To 13 M Ugok With A Filter Section Of 15 M. The Wells Are To Be Integrated Into Two Shaft Structures And Equipped With Four Extraction Pumps And The Corresponding Control Elements Including Remote Monitoring. After Preliminary Tests (Short Pumping Tests And Circulation Tests) Have Been Carried Out, A Circulation System Is To Be Installed Over The Constructed Wells In A First Renovation Stage For A Period Of Six Months For The Biological In-Situ Degradation Of The Pollutants With The Addition Of The Substrate Molasses. This Will Be Followed By Monitoring For A Maximum Of Six Weeks. In A Second Step, An Optimization Stage Will Be Carried Out In Which The Circulation System For Biological In-Situ Degradation With The Addition Of The Substrate Molasses Will Continue To Be Operated For A Further Period Of Six Months With Subsequent Monitoring For A Maximum Of Six Weeks Analytical Monitoring Must Be Carried Out For All Work And The Necessary Documentation Must Be Created.
