Detailed Description Of The Subject Of The Order - Scope Of Research Work: The Commissioned Work Will Be Of A Research Nature, Aimed At Determining The Correlation Between The Microstructure And The Mechanical And Thermomechanical Properties Of Hybrid Ceramics Based On Aluminosilicates. The Research Results Will Constitute Part Of The Optimization Of Product Technology For Foundry Mold Elements. The Optimization Parameters Will Be The Values Of Apparent Density, Water Absorption, Mechanical Strength, Elastic Properties, Thermal Expansion, Thermal Conductivity And Microstructural Parameters Of Sintered Products. The Research Work Will Aim To Determine Qualitative And Quantitative Correlations Between The Conditions Of The Sintering Process And The Phase Composition, Microstructure, Mechanical Properties And Thermomechanical Properties Of The Obtained Materials. The Materials For Testing Will Be Obtained By Free Sintering Of Samples Obtained By Plastic Or Thermoplastic Extrusion Of Mixtures Of Aluminosilicate Powders And Various Types Of Additives. The Experiments Will Be Performed On Powders And Products Delivered To The Contractor By The Ordering Party. The Influence Of Technological Parameters On The Previously Mentioned Material Characteristics Will Be Examined. The Parameters Of The Sintering Process Include: A. Type And Amount Of Sintering Additives - Substances Will Be Used To Facilitate The Sintering Process By Modifying The Properties Of The Transitional Liquid Phase, Which Moisturizes The Grains Of The Base Mass Well And/Or Is Chemically Active Towards Them. Nanopowders Of Zirconium Dioxide, Boron Carbide And Zirconium Diboride As Well As Specific Silicon Compounds Will Be Used. Both The Qualitative And Quantitative Impact Of These Additives On Sintering Kinetics And Effective Densification Will Be Determined. B. Sintering Temperature And Time. The Research Will Be Carried Out To Determine The Influence Of The Maximum Sintering Temperature, The Duration Of This Process And The Speed Of Both Temperature Progress And - Due To The Presence Of The Liquid Phase - Cooling (Sintering Curve). Determining The Existence And Strength Of Correlation Between The Conditions Of The Sintering Process And The Properties Of The Obtained Materials Will Be Based On The Results Obtained In The Following Tests: A. Qualitative And Quantitative Determination Of The Phase Composition Of Sintered Materials Together With The Determination Of The Amount Of The Amorphous Phase Formed In The Technological Process. These Measurements Will Be Carried Out Using The X-Ray Diffraction Method With Qualitative Analysis Performed Using Software Dedicated To This Purpose, Based On The Current Diffraction Database And With Quantitative Analysis Using The Rietveld Method.B. Qualitative And Quantitative Determination Of The Microstructure Of Aluminosilicate Sinters. Observations And Recording Of Microstructure Images Should Be Carried Out On Specimens With Revealed Microstructure, Made By The Contractor Using A Scanning Electron Microscope. Quantitative Description Of Microstructures (Grain Size Distribution, Average Grain Size, Pore Volume Fraction, Crack Identification And Length, Grain Shape) Should Be Made Based On Numerical Analysis Of Sem Images Using A Dedicated Program.C. Determination Of Elastic And Mechanical Properties. Tests Of Elastic Properties (Youngs Modulus, Stiffness Modulus And Poissons Number) At Room Temperature And At Temperatures Close To The Operating Temperature Will Be Carried Out Using The Dynamic Method. The Following Will Also Be Tested: Three-Point Bending Strength. D. Determination Of Thermomechanical Properties. The Linear Coefficient Of Thermal Expansion And Thermal Conductivity, Fire Resistance Under Load, And, In The Case Of Samples With The Best Mechanical Parameters, Also Resistance To Thermal Shock Will Be Tested. The Results Of All Tests Should Be Comprehensively Developed Along With Qualitative And Quantitative Determination Of Correlations Between Technological Parameters And Functional Properties Of Hybrid Aluminosilicate Materials. 3. Projected Number Of Analyzes And Tests Performed Under The Subject Of The Contract: 1) Qualitative And Quantitative Determination Of The Phase Composition Along With Quantitative Determination Of The Content Glassy Phase Of Sinters Of Prototype Materials, Including The Preparation Of Samples For Testing - Min. 30 Samples,2) Microstructural Characteristics Of Sinters Of Prototype Materials Using Scanning Microscopy Techniques And Chemical Analysis In Micro-Areas (Sem/Eds), Including The Preparation Of Samples For Testing - Min. 20 Samples,3) Characteristics Of The Thickening Process Of Plastics Formed From Various Sets Of Raw Materials And Using Various Molding Techniques, Using Various Parameters Of The Molding Process, Including The Preparation Of Test Samples - Min. 30 Samples, 4) Determination Of The Temperature Conductivity Of Sintered Prototype Materials Using Laser Technology (Lfa) Along With The Determination Of The Necessary Parameters, Including: Specific Heat – Min. 20 Samples, 5) Determination Of Temperature Dependences Of Elastic Parameters (Youngs Modulus, Stiffness Modulus, Poissons Number) Of Sintered Prototype Materials, Including Preparation Of Test Samples - Min. 20 Samples,6) Determination Of Fire Resistance Under Load Of Sintered Prototype Materials - Min. 10 Samples,7) Determination Of Bending Strength At Room Temperature And At A Temperature Close To The Operating Temperature Of Sintered Prototype Materials - Min. 20 Samples,8) Determination Of Compressive Strength At Room Temperature And At A Temperature Close To The Working Temperature Of Sintered Prototype Materials - Min. 20 Samples,9) Comprehensive Report On The Correlation Between Changes In The Chemical And Phase Composition Of Prototype Materials And The Possibility Of Obtaining The Assumed Product Parameters.4.The Contractor Will Provide The Ordering Party With The Results In Electronic Form (To The E-Mail Address Indicated In The Contract) Together With Their Description, Assessment And Necessary Comments (Interpretation), Without Undue Delay. 5. The Subject Of The Order Will Be Implemented Within The Period: From March 2024 - 31 August 2026.
