Ii.1.5)Short Description Of The Contract Or Purchase(S):The Framework Agreement Concerns The Acquisition Of 10 (Ten) Different Types Of High Quality Gloves And Mitts To Be Used By The Danish Armed Forces Throughout A 7 (Seven) Years Period.The Different Types Of Gloves And Mitts Are Briefly Described Below. A More Extensive Description Of Each Type Of Glove And Mitt Is Available In Appendix A1 – A10.A1) Combat Glove: Combat Glove Used In Warm And Intermediate Climates Such As The Danish Fall, Spring, And Summer. The Combat Glove Will Be Used By All Soldiers And Protect Their Hands And Fingers From Climate Impact, Rope Burn As Well As Sunburn And General Bruises. The Combat Glove Shall Be Tight Fitting To The Hand And Fingers, Giving The Soldier Opportunity To Operate Equipment Such As Radio, Binoculars, Weapon, Etc. When Wearing The Combat Glove. It Is Important That The Glove Is Waterproof And That It Provides The Soldier Dry Warm Hands On Windy, Snowy And Rainy Days. The Combat Glove Shall Also Protect The Hands From Minor Secondary Fragments And Bruises. The Soldier Should Be Able To Operate Equipment Such As Touch Screen, Radio, Binoculars, And Weapon When Wearing The Combat Glove. The Combat Glove Should Reduce The User Signature Both In The Visual And Near Infrared (Nir) Spectra.A4) Combat Mitt: The Primary Property Of The Combat Mitt Is To Protect The Soldiers Hands From The Cold, But Also Wet Weather Such As Snow And Rain. It Is Important That The Combat Mitt Is Waterproof, Breathable And Can Keep The Soldiers Hands Dry And Warm In Cold, Windy And Snowy Conditions. The Combat Mitt Shall Also Protect The Hands From Minor Secondary Fragments And Bruises. The Soldier Should Be Able To Operate Equipment Such As Open Vehicles, Snow Mobiles Radio, Binoculars, When Wearing The Combat Mitt. It Should Be Possible To Wear A Glove (Combat Glove, Combat Glove Touch Or Combat Glove Winter Touch) Under The Combat Mitt And Still Be Able To Operate The Above Mentioned Equipment.A5) Antiflash Glove: The Royal Danish Navy Is The Main User Of The Antiflash Glove, But Some Artillery Units Are Users As Well. The Property Of The Antiflash Gloves Is To Protect The Soldier’S Hands From Blast, Heat And Fire. The Antiflash Glove Shall Have A Long Covering Shaft, Which Covers The Forearm And Ends Just Below The Elbow.A6) Tactical Fast Rope Glove: The Primary Use Of The Tactical Fast Rope Glove Is To Protect The Soldier’S Hands From Rope Burn And Bruises While Fast Roping (Gliding Down A Thick Rope From E.G. A Helicopter). The Tactical Fast Rope Glove Will Be Used By Special Forces Personnel (Men) For Training And Military Operations. It Is Used For Shorter Periods At A Time In All Climates And Weather Both Nationally And Internationally.The Tactical Fast Rope Glove Shall Be Tight Fitting To The Hand And Fingers, Giving The Solder Opportunity To Operate Rope, But The User Also Needs To Be Able To Operate Equipment Such As Radio, Binoculars, Weapon, Etc. When Wearing The Tactical Fast Rope Glove.A7) Leather Guard Glove: The Leather Guard Glove, Will Be Used By Men And Women, When Standing Guard And Parade At Military Facilities Around In Denmark. The Primary Function Of The Glove, Is To Protect The Hand From Wind, Cold And Minor Bumps And Bruises. It Shall Be A Simple And Semitight Fitted To The Hand And Have A Nonaggressive Look. The Soldiers Will Use The Leather Guard Gloves During Operational Guard Duty, Ceremonial Guard Duty And For Parade Purpose. The Gloves Shall Fit The Hand, So It Is Possible To Handle The Soldier’S Weapons And Saber When Conducting Their Guard And Parade Duty. The Soldiers Will Also Use The Glove In Other Ceremonial Situations. The Expected Lifespan Of The Gloves Is 12 24 Months For The Intended Nondaily Use.A8) Parade Glove, Unlined: The Parade Glove, Unlined, Will Be Used By Men And Women, For Parade Use In Denmark And Internationally. The Primary Function Of The Glove, Is To Protect The Hand From Wind And Cold During Parade Duty. It Shall Be Simple And Semitight Fitted To The Hand And Have An Elegant Appearance. The Expected Lifespan Of The Gloves Is At Least 12 24 Months For The Intended Nondaily Use.A10) Glacé Leather Glove: The Glacé Leather Glove Is Used By Officers Together With The Gala Uniform For Primarily Ceremonial Use. The Glacé Leather Glove Needs To Have Good And Tight Fit And Be Able To Be Worn Without Causing Discomfort For The User. It Is Important That The Glove Is Homogeneous In Color And Appearance And Without Any Changes In Fit And Fabric During Use. The Gloves Shall Fit The Hand, So It Is Possible To Handle A Saber When Conducting Guard And Parade Duty. The Glacé Leather Glove Shall Be A Good Quality. The Name Glacé Is A Remain From Earlier Fabrication Method, Which Is Not A Mandatory Requirement Today.
