The National Electricity Transmission Corporation Of Cameroon (Netco) Has Applied For Financing In The Amount Of Eur 122,730,000 Equivalent From The Islamic Development Bank Toward The Cost Of The Chad And Cameroon Electrical Networks Interconnection, And It Intends To Apply Part Of The Proceeds To Payments For Goods, Works, Related Services And Consulting Services To Be Procured Under This Project. In Cameroon, The Project Will Include The Following Components: Component 1: South Interconnected Grid (Sig) North Interconnected Grid (Nig) Interconnection. · Under World Bank Financing: · Construction Of A 225 Kv Double-Circuit Transmission Line Of Approximately 515 Km From Its Connection Point On The 225 Kv Nyom 2-Nachtigal Line In The Sig To The Wouro Soua Substation In The Nig. · Project Implementation Support To Sonatrel · Implementation Of The Esmp And Rap · Technical Assistance To Provide Training And Advisory Services To Support The Development And Negotiation Of Contracts Necessary For Electricity Transactions And The Commercialization Of Optical Fiber (Cgfo) Along The Cameroon-Chad Interconnection · Under Islamic Development Bank Financing: · Construction Of 04 New 225/30 Kv Substations In Ntui, Tibati, Yoko And Wouro Soua Equipped With A Static Var Compensator, An Integrated Control And Data Acquisition System And Compensation Equipment As Required. · Technical Assistance To Develop The Grid Code · Economic Empowerment Of Women And Youth In Project Areas (Training Of Farmers And Producers; Strengthening Of Health Centers And Schools Technical Workshops; Construction Of Boreholes, Classrooms, Markets, Community Homes, Etc.) · Establishment Of A Technical Library For Power Transmission Activities (Technical Books And Resources) · Individual Auditor For Project Expenditures Certification. Component 2: Cross-Border Interconnection Financed By Afdb · Construction Of 566 Km Of 225 Kv Lines From Wouro Soua To Chad Borders; · Construction Of 02 New 225/30 Kv Substations In Garoua 2 And Kousséri Equipped With Static Var Compensators; · Extension Of The 225/30 Kv Wouro Soua And Maroua Substations; · Electrification Of 409 Localities Located Along The Interconnection Lines. · Payment For The Services Of A Joint Consulting Engineer To Assist Sonatrel And Sne In Supervising The Construction Works Of The Cross-Border Interconnection. · Institutional Support To Administrations. Procurement Of Contracts Financed By The Islamic Development Bank Will Be Conducted Through The Procedures As Specified In The Guidelines For Procurement Of Goods, Works And Related Services Under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing (Current Edition) And Is Open To All Eligible Bidders As Defined In The Guidelines. Consulting Services Will Be Selected In Accordance With The Guidelines For The Procurement Of Consultant Services Under Islamic Development Bank Project Financing (Current Edition).
