Gitga’At Power Limited Partnership (The “Nation” Or The “Owner”) Invites Qualified Engineering Firms Or Teams (“Proponents”) To Submit Qualifications To Act As The Independent Engineer (Ie) For The Gitga’At Power Project (The “Project”).The Independent Engineer Is Expected To Be Required As A Condition Of The Project’S Anticipated Water Licence, To Be Administered By The British Columbia Ministry Of Water, Land And Resource Stewardship (The “Ministry”). Although The Ie Will Be Retained And Paid By The Owner, The Ie Provides Its Services To The Ministry For The Regulation Of The Construction Of The Project Works. The Ie Is Not The Owner’S Engineer.This Request For Qualifications (“Rfq”) Is The First Stage Of A Two-Stage Process. The Owner Intends To Shortlist Up To Three Proponents, Who Will Be Invited To Respond To A Subsequent Request For Proposals (“Rfp”) That Will Include Commercial Terms And Pricing.
