The Purpose Of The Activity Is To Create A Modern, Functional And Sustainable Sports Infrastructure Of Regional Importance, Through The Construction Of A New Multifunctional Sports Complex, Including A Sports Hall And A Swimming Pool, Intended For Holding National And International Competitions, As Well As For Mass Sports, Training And Cultural Events.The Implementation Of The Project Will Contribute To The Development Of The Sports, Educational And Social Capacity Of The North-West Region, Which Is Currently Characterized By An Insufficient Available Sports Base And Outdated Infrastructure. The Commissioning Of The New Complex Will Allow Providing Conditions For Systematic Physical Activity, Training Of Athletes, Hosting Of Tournaments And Integration Of Sports Education At All Levels.The Project Aims To:To Provide Basic And Competitive Conditions For The Main Olympic Sports - Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, Wrestling, Boxing, Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Etc.;To Create An Opportunity To Hold Cultural, Conference And Public Events, Through Flexible Use Of The Playing Field And Stands;To Provide An Accessible, Energy-Efficient And Sustainable Environment In Line With European Standards For Sports Facilities.The Activity Is Strategic To Improve The Quality Of Life And Youth Activity In The Region, While Promoting Healthy Lifestyles And Sports For All Age Groups.As A Result Of The Implementation Of The Project, A New High-Class Sports Infrastructure Will Be Built, Which Will Simultaneously Perform The Functions Of:A Multifunctional Sports Hall With A Capacity Of About 2,500 Seats, Of Which 300 Are Movable;A Swimming Pool With Competitive Dimensions Of 25 × 16 Meters, Six Swimming Corridors Of 2.5 M Each And A Depth Of About 2.0 M, With The Necessary Service Rooms; Training Block For Different Sports;Administrative Service Area With Rooms For Referees, Coaches, Medical Team, Journalists And Technical Staff.The Project Will Provide A Significant Improvement In Access To Sports And Rehabilitation Activities For The Population, Will Create Opportunities For Organizing Educational, Sports-Preparatory And Competitive Programs, And Will Increase The Economic And Social Attractiveness Of The Region. The Construction Of The New Sports Complex Will Be Carried Out In Accordance With The National Priorities For The Development Of Sports And A Healthy Lifestyle, Laid Down In The Strategic Documents Of The Republic Of Bulgaria And The European Union, And Will Meet All Applicable Technical, Regulatory And Functional Requirements, Including Those Of International Sports Federations (Fiba, Fivb, Ihf, Aiba, Fig, Etc.).
