Project: Tender22303 - Fort William Historical Park – Bank Stabilization Construction Services (Historic Wharf) . Fort William Historical Park (Fwhp), An Agency Of The Ministry Of Tourism, Culture And Gaming (Mtcg), Is Seeking A Qualified Contractor To Undertake Bank Stabilization And Erosion Mitigation Works Along The Boardwalk Embankment Adjacent To The Kaministiquia River At Its Facility In Thunder Bay, Ontario. This Includes The Supply Of All Labour, Materials, Equipment And Supervision Required To Construct Embankment Stabilization Measures In Accordance With A Completed Design Prepared And Reviewed By The Ministry’S Engineering Consultant. The Design Includes Shoreline Protection And Erosion Mitigation Works Consisting Of Excavation, Geotextile Installation, Granular Backfill, Gabion Basket Retaining Systems, Environmental Protection Measures And Site Restoration. This Project Is Required To Address Ongoing Erosion And Embankment Deterioration Adjacent To The Boardwalk, Improve Long-Term Slope Stability, Protect Existing Infrastructure And Enhance The Safety Of Park Visitors And Staff. Scope Of Work The Ministry Requires A Qualified Contractor To Provide All Labour, Materials, Equipment, Tools And Supervision Necessary To Complete Bank Stabilization And Erosion Mitigation Works At Fort William Historical Park In Thunder Bay, Ontario, In Accordance With The Completed Engineering Design And Contract Documents. The Work Includes Mobilization And Demobilization, Site Preparation, Earth Excavation, Placement Of Granular Materials, Installation Of Geotextile, Construction Of Gabion Basket Retaining Systems, Placement Of Blast Rock And Clear Stone, Temporary Dewatering As Required, Erosion And Sediment Control Measures, Environmental Protection Measures, Topsoil Placement, Sodding, Site Restoration And All Associated Works Necessary To Achieve A Complete And Functional Installation. The Contractor Shall Coordinate All Activities To Minimize Disruption To Fort William Historical Park Operations And Shall Carry Out The Work In Accordance With All Applicable Regulatory, Environmental, Health And Safety Requirements. The Objective Of This Project Is To Stabilize The Existing Embankment, Mitigate Future Erosion, Protect The Boardwalk And Surrounding Infrastructure, And Restore Safe Conditions Within The Project Area. Work Is Expected To Commence Following Contract Award And Must Be Completed Within The Timeline Specified In The Request For Bids (Rfb) Documents.
