Tenders are invited for Consultants: Business Facilitator and Coach The International Labour Organization (ILO), in partnership with Alfanar Venture Philanthropy, and Lebanese microfinance institution Al Majmoua, is launching BDER() a new project under the broader PROSPECTS programme funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. BDER is designed to bridge the gap between technical support and access to finance by providing tailored technical support and facilitating access to loan financing for 25 established social and solidarity economy enterprises in Lebanon. Through tailored technical support and access to loan financing, the project will support SSEs to strengthen their operations, build long-term sustainability, and prepare for growth. Selected SSEs will benefit from tailored business diagnostics, capacity building, one-to-one coaching, governance and financial readiness support, and market access and networking opportunities. They will also access an interest-subsidised loan of up to USD 50,000 through Al Majmoua, subject to financial due diligence. Selected entities will additionally take part in an international study visit. PROSPECTS is a global partnership that aims to improve the access of host communities and forcibly displaced people to education, social protection and decent work. It brings together the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the UN Childrens Fund (UNICEF) and the World Bank to help transform the way in which governments and other stakeholders, including the private sector, respond to forced displacement crises. As part of its technical support component, Alfanar has developed the content, curriculum, and materials for a structured capacity-building programme. Alfanar is seeking to engage a consultant to support the delivery of the group training sessions and provide one-to-one coaching to the SSE entities, using the content and materials already developed by Alfanar, under the supervision of the Portfolio Manager. 2. Objective To help participating SSE entities apply the Bootcamp content to their businesses, complete the required business and financial outputs, and make progress through structured coaching and mentoring from the first Bootcamp Day in January 2027 through July 2027. 3. Scope of work The Business Facilitator and Coach will work under the direct supervision of the Portfolio Manager and coordinate with Alfanar personnel, the Project Coordinator and Al Majmoua. The consultant will: Review Alfanar-provided Bootcamp materials, coaching tools and reporting templates and agree a delivery plan with the Portfolio Manager. Support the practical working session in each Bootcamp cycle, helping SSE entities translate thematic learning into business and financial outputs. Guide participating SSE entities in completing and refining Alfanar tools, Loan Readiness Assessment and Growth Plan, using Alfanar-approved tools and guidance. Provide structured one-to-one business coaching and mentoring from the first Bootcamp Day through August 2027, according to the agreed allocation and schedule. Help SSE entities identify practical actions, troubleshoot business and financial challenges and track progress against their Growth Plans. Provide technical feedback to the Alfanar team on recurring gaps, progress and risks while leaving project decisions and technical ownership with Alfanar. Maintain concise coaching records and evidence of progress for each participating SSE entity. Coordinate directly with the assigned SSE entities to schedule coaching sessions, confirm participation, manage rescheduling, follow up on agreed actions and maintain an updated coaching schedule. Flag emerging risks, capacity gaps, or delivery challenges to the Portfolio Manager promptly. Alfanar personnel will lead the thematic Bootcamp sessions, including Theory of Change, Social Business Model, Impact Measurement and Management, and Financial Management. Al Majmoua will lead the online session on financial due diligence and loan readiness. The consultant will support application, facilitation and coaching and will not replace these technical leads 4.
