Project Background.1 Wolf Lake West Overflow Campground Within Wolf Lake West Provincial Recreation Area (Pra) Was Substantially Damaged In A 2023 Wildfire, Resulting In 80-90% Asset Losses And The Closure Of The Area Until Repairs Can Be Completed.Following An Inspection In The Fall Of 2023, Only Emergency And Critical Public Safety Issues Were Addressed Such As Installing Security Gates, Covering Open Pit Toilet Tanks, And Removing Some Of The Fire-Damaged Site Infrastructure. Due To The Substantial Loss Of Infrastructure Resulting From The 2023 Wildfire, Wolf Lake West Pra Overflow Campground Requires Restoration/Redevelopment. The Intent Of The Project Is To Restore The Area, Generally Consistent With Pre-Fire Function And Capacity, While Incorporating Any Necessary Improvements To Meet Current Operational Requirements, Applicable Standards, And Long-Term Asset Management Objectives.
