Hoai. The Tum Klinikum Rechts Der Isar Is Planning The Renovation And Expansion Of Radiology, Including Replacement Of The Large Radiology Equipment With Corresponding Construction Work (Building 502) On The Main Site Of The Clinic In Munich-Haidhausen. The Measure Serves To Sustainably Ensure And Further Develop Radiological Care At The Clinic Location. The Existing Radiology Department Is Housed In Building 502, One Of The Oldest Parts Of The Clinic. The Existing Building Structure And Technical Systems Only Meet The Requirements Of A Modern Radiology Operation To A Limited Extent. At The Same Time, Numerous Large Imaging Devices Will Reach The End Of Their Technical Useful Life In The Coming Years, Meaning That There Is A Risk Of Failures And Restrictions In Patient Care In The Short Term. Radiology Provides A Central Diagnostic Facility For All. Clinical Specialist Areas. At The Same Time, The Number Of Examinations, Especially In The Area Of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Mri), Has Been Increasing Continuously For Years. The Existing Space Capacity And The Functional Arrangement Of The Examination And Work Areas Do Not Allow Further Development To Meet Needs. In Order To Meet The Requirements Of Modern, Cutting-Edge University Medicine, Comprehensive Structural And Technical Restructuring Is Necessary. The Core Of The Measure Is The Combination Of A Renovation And Restructuring Of The Existing Areas In Building 502 As Well As The Construction Of An Extension In The Inner Courtyard To The South. This Expansion Will Create Additional Space That Is Particularly Needed To Accommodate Mri Diagnostics. The New Building Will Be Directly Connected To The Existing Building And Will Enable The Mri Units To Be Combined Into A Modern Functional Cluster With Associated Preparation, Changing, Waiting And Technical Areas. This Means That Diagnostic Processes Can Be Significantly Improved And Capacity Bottlenecks Can Be Permanently Eliminated. The Relocation Of The Mri Areas To The New Building Also Creates Development Opportunities Within The Existing Building. The Freed Up Space Will Be Used To Restructure Ct And X-Ray Diagnostics And Adapt Them To Todays Operational Requirements. New Room Layouts, Optimized Patient Routes, Additional Waiting And Preparation Areas As Well As Modern Workstations For Medical And Technical Staff Are Planned. In Addition, Surfaces Are Being Renewed And The Functional Processes Within The Department Are Being Improved. In Addition To The Structural Measures, A Comprehensive Modernization Of The Technical Equipment Is Taking Place. Infrastructure. This Particularly Affects The Areas Of Power Supply, Safety Power Supply, Building Automation, It, Ventilation, Heating, Sanitation And Medical Gases. To Supply The New Large Devices, The Existing Transformer Station Will Be Expanded And The Electrical Infrastructure Will Be Fundamentally Expanded.
