The Ministry Of Transportation And Transit (The “Ministry”) Is Issuing This Request For Proposals (“Rfp”) To Identify And Retain One (1) Or More Contractors To Provide Marine Transportation Planning Services For An Initial Three (3) Year Term, With An Option To Extend For An Additional Two (2) Years, At The Discretion Of The Ministry. The Contractor Will Provide The Services On An As-And-When Required Basis To Support The Ministry’S Marine, Air, And Rail Services Branch With Marine Transportation Planning, Data Collection And Analysis, Option Generation And Assessment, Capacity Analysis, Mobility And Safety Analysis, Business Case Development, Concept Design Engineering And Cost Estimation, Planning Level Consultation, And Related Strategic And Technical Planning Advice And Expertise.It Is Anticipated That The Majority Of Services Provided Under The Contract Will Relate To Vessels And Marine Infrastructure, And Ferry Operations As Part Of The Province’S Inland Ferry Services, Although There May Be Other Coastal Vessels And Marine Infrastructure And Ferry Operations That The Contractor Could Be Called Upon To Provide The Services For.
