General: On The Upper Edge Of The Ilm Embankment East Of The City Palace There Is A Wrought Iron Railing That Has Existed There Since The End Of The 19Th Century. It Consists Of Rectangular Posts, Top And Bottom Chords And Curved And Circular Infills. The Posts Are Attached To Travertine Bases/Foundations. The Railing Should Be Dismantled On Site, Refurbished In The Contractors Workshop And Reinstalled On The Upper Edge Of The Embankment. Several Railing Parts Are Missing And Need To Be Replaced. The Travertine Bases/Foundations Should Be Preserved If Possible. Bases/Foundations That Cannot Be Preserved Will Be Remade. The Travertine Base, Including The Recess, Is Made Separately By A Stonemason And Provided To This Work On Site. The Underlying Concrete Foundation Must Be Constructed As Part Of This Work. Experience In The Restoration And Repair Of Historical Metal Construction And Forging Work Is Required. References About The Restoration Of Listed Objects Must Be Submitted When Submitting An Offer.
