In The Eth Building Ekz (Entire Energy Channel In The Center) The Expansion Joints Are Leaking And Need To Be Renovated. This Happens Because The Service Life Of The Expansion Joints Has Been Exceeded And So That The Safety Of Ongoing Operations Can Continue To Be Guaranteed. All Expansion Joints In The Ekz Must Be Renovated. According To The Pollutant Planner, The Sealing Compound For The Expansion Joints Is Not Contaminated With Pollutants And Can Therefore Be Replaced Without Major Protective Measures. The Expansion Joints Must Be Professionally Sealed With A Suitable Sealing Compound And, If Necessary, Covered With An Additional Sealing Tape That Is Appropriate For The Function (E.G. Combiflex). Areas With Heavy Water Ingress Must Also Be Sealed With Concrete Injections. The Difficult Access Behind The Existing Installations And The High Temperatures In The Energy Duct Make Carrying Out The Work More Difficult.
