Dispatch And Preparation Of 1.70 Million Personalized Invitation Letters On A Date Specified By The Central Office Per Year. - Following The Award Procedure For This Service Description, The Client Will Award The Letter Transport/Shipping Service As Part Of A Europe-Wide Tender. The Print Service Provider Has Already Been Determined. This Is Responsible For Processing The Print Data. The Shipping Service Provider (Advertised Here) - Is Responsible For Sorting, Consolidation And Franking (Computer Franking Or Alternative Franking From An Alternative Letter Service Provider), According To The Three Variants (See Below, Described In More Detail In Appendix 1 Of The Tender Documents). Short Version Of The Possible Three Variants: Variant 1: Franking In The Printing Process: The Franking Takes Place During Printing According To The Letter Service Providers Specifications, Either Using Computer Franking (Dpag) Or Based On Postage-Optimized Data Provided (Including Upoc). The Shipping Service Provider Is Liable For Sorting And Postage Benefits, The Printing Service Provider Is Only Liable For Verifiable Operating Errors. Variant 2: Code-Based Franking: The Shipping Service Provider Provides Software And Franking Codes (E.G. Upoc). The Printing Service Provider Prints The Codes, Transmits The Associated Shipment Data And Ensures That The Codes Are Used Once. The Shipping Service Provider Is Liable For Sorting And Postage Benefits, The Printing Service Provider Is Only Liable For Verifiable Operating Errors. Variant 3: Postage By Shipping Service Provider: The Printing Service Provider Provides The Letters Without Shipping Notes Or Other Criteria And Hands Them Over To The Shipping Service Provider In The Order Of The Clients Data Records. All Shipping And Preparation Tasks Must Be Completed By The Shipping Service Provider.
