The Township Of Princeton Acknowledges With Gratitude And Respect That Princeton Is Located On The Similamix Traditional And Ancestral Lands Of The Upper Similkameen Indian Band, Including The Syilx Nation And Salish Peoples.The Township Of Princeton (‘Town’) Is Issuing An Invitation To Qualified, Experienced Companies For The 2026-2027 Lions Park Re-Development Project For A Playground.The Lions Park Re-Development Project Includes New Park Infrastructure To Replace Aging Playground Equipment With A New Playground.The Town Is A Rural Community With A Population Of 2,828 (2016 Census). Princeton Serves A Combined Population Of 4,781 For Both Princeton And The Surrounding Regional District Of Okanagan Similkameen Area H Population Of 1,953 (2016 Census).The Township Is Home To 15 Hectares Of Park Land, Over 60 Kms Of Trail Networking, Fairgrounds, Arena, Curling Rink, Museum, Seasonal Outdoor Pool, And Campground. Playground Proposal Will Be Up To But Not Exceeding $130,000 Inclusive Of All Taxes. Submissions Will Include Play Structure, Play Structure Border, And Engineered Ground Cover. Furthermore, To Design, Supply, Deliver And Install A New, Csa Defined Category Of Birth (0) To Twelve (12) Years Of Age, Playground Equipment Including A Minimum Of One Accessibility Play Structure.Design & Construction Develop A Comprehensive Inclusive Playground Design Within The Existing Park Site Area That Aligns With The Clients Vision, Space Constraints, And Budget. Provide Detailed Site Plans, Equipment Specifications, And Material Recommendations. Equipment With Elements That Will Appeal To A Variety Of Age Ranges (O-12 Years)Equipment That Provides Open Ended Play Experiences.One Or Two Pieces Of Equipment Should Be Accessible For Persons With Disabilities.Equipment Can Include A Blend Of Natural Elementsensure Compliance With Safety Standards Of The Canadian Standards Association. Equipment & Materials Supply High-Quality, Durable, And Age-Appropriate Play Structures. Include Inclusive And Accessible Play Elements For Children Of All Abilities. Ensure All Materials Meet Industry Safety And Environmental Standards. Site Preparation & Installation Provide Site Specification With Accurate Surveying And Layout And All Costs Of The Survey Required As Part Of The Design/Permit Process. Town Civil Works To Provide Grading, Excavation And Preparation Including Proper Drainage And Erosion Control Measures Are In Place. Install Playground Equipment, Surfacing, And Any Additional Features As Agreed Upon In The Contract.Ensure Proper Drainage And Erosion Control Measures Are In Place. Safety & Compliance Provide Certification Of Compliance With All Relevant Safety Regulations. Provide Responsible Site Security And Protection For The Public And Installation Of Fencing And/Or Barricades As Required For Duration Of Construction Until Final Acceptance Of The Work By The Town. The Contactor Is The Prime Contractor For Purposes Of The Workers Compensation Act.All Work And Materials Are To Be Installed As Per Specifications And Standards As Described Herein And Otherwise To Industry Standards And Best Practices.Warranty & Maintenance Provide Warranties On Equipment, Materials, And Installation Workmanship.
