The Regional District Of North Okanagan (Rdno) Oversees The Development And Operations Of Sub-Regional Trails Throughout Greater Vernon. As A Part Of The Operation Of The Okanagan Rail Trail (Ort), The Rdno Is Seeking Qualified Companies To Conduct Scheduled Geotechnical Slope Assessments To Re-Evaluate Previously Identified Areas Where Rockfall And Debris Slides Pose A Hazard To Trail Users And Infrastructure.The Successful Proponent Shall Conduct Annual On-Site Assessments Of Previously Identified Minor, Moderate, And High-Risk Areas, As Documented In The Attached “2026 Annual Geotechnical Slope Assessment” Report, And Assess For Any Changes Or New Hazards. The Scope Of The Assessment Will Be Limited To The Rdno-Owned Portion Of The Ort (0 Km – 12.5 Km). Following The Onsite Assessment, A Professional Report Shall Be Prepared For The Rdno Outlining At A Minimum: Assessment Procedures, Observation And Hazard Assessment, And Conceptual Mitigation Options. At The Rdno’S Discretion, The Successful Proponent Shall Oversee Any Work By A Third-Party Contractor Should Any Additional Mitigation Measure Be Adopted.On-Site Assessments Shall Be Completed Annually Between April 1 And May 30, With The Report To Be Issued To The Rdno No Later Than June 15 Annually.
