Oxfam GB is seeking a qualified licensed psychologist/psychotherapist who has advanced academic degree in Psychology to design and deliver a psychosocial support/psychological counselling package. The package should address the cumulative impact of prolonged stress, high workloads, crisis exposure, and burnout, with a focus on strengthening emotional resilience, supporting stress and burnout management, and helping staff develop healthy coping strategies and improved work-life balance. The support should also provide staff with practical tools to recognize early signs of stress, exhaustion, and burnout, strengthen their capacity for recovery, and maintain their well-being while working in a highly demanding and continuously changing environment. Oxfam is a global movement working to end the injustice of poverty and inequality. In Lebanon, Oxfam has been present since 1993, delivering humanitarian assistance and supporting vulnerable populations through economic empowerment, protection, and resilience-building programs. Oxfam staff in Lebanon continue to operate under exceptionally demanding, uncertain, and often distressing conditions. The compounded impact of Lebanons prolonged economic and political crisis, the ongoing humanitarian and refugee response. These pressures have been further intensified by an ongoing war in Lebanon that started in 2024, which introduced an additional layer of operational, emotional, and personal stress. Staff have had to continue delivering critical work while navigating heightened insecurity, uncertainty, disruption, and the psychological impact of another major crisis. For many staff, this has compounded stress and fatigue that had already accumulated over several years of working through successive crises and increasingly challenging operating conditions. Key responsibilities include: Group Well-being Sessions: Deliver two safe and confidential group sessions for four groups of a total of 20 staff in Zahle (5 persons per group), covering stress and burnout, resilience, coping with crisis, work-life balance, self-care, recovery, and peer support. Stress Management and Resilience Training: Deliver an interactive full-day training providing practical tools for stress management, burnout prevention, coping, and resilience in high-pressure environments. Individual Counselling/Psychotherapy: Provide confidential individual counselling/psychotherapy on a needs basis, up to 10 sessions per staff member. Remote/Online Access: Provide individual sessions at an agreed location (Oxfam office or consultants clinic), with virtual sessions available for staff unable to attend in person. Confidentiality and Ethical Practice: Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with professional ethical standards, confidentiality, safeguarding, and data protection requirements. Summary Report: Provide a brief anonymized report highlighting key psychosocial risks, emerging staff well-being needs, and recommendations for organizational support. EXPERIENCE OR PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Masters degree in clinical psychology from a recognized university. Completed clinical training/practicum, including a minimum of 100 hours of supervised training and 300 hours of applied clinical training. Lebanese Colloquium Certificate for Clinical Psychologists. Valid license to practice Clinical Psychology issued by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). At least 5 years of professional experience in clinical psychology, counselling, psychosocial support, or a related field. Demonstrated experience working with INGOs, preferably in humanitarian or crisis-affected contexts. Experience providing individual psychological counselling and group-based well-being or psychosocial support is required. Strong knowledge and practical experience in stress management, burnout prevention, resilience-building, and psychological well-being. Very good written and spoken English and Arabic are required. Additional training or certification in stress management, traumatic stress, change management, conflict resolution, or related areas will be considered an asset. Strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, safeguarding, informed consent, and culturally sensitive practice.
