Sep 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Gender issues Remuneration range: 2000 to 3000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 3 Months (renewable based on funds and performance) Contract Type: Full-Time Consultancy Duration: October December 2026 (to be renewed depending on the budget availability) Location: Field visits to be conducted all over Lebanon depending on the need Reports to: National Mental Health Programme (NMHP), Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Partners: National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) (Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), ABAAD Resource Center for Gender Equality, and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). Background and Overview This consultancy is part of a joint collaboration between the National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) at the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), ABAAD Resource Center for Gender Equality, and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). The collaboration aims to support the integration of mental health services into Primary Health Care (PHC) through the collaboration with the PHC Department and the NMHP at the MoPH, as well as with implementing partners working in this area. The Field Coordinator will support field-level coordination, follow-up, data collection, and reporting to ensure that implementation activities are monitored effectively and that challenges and support needs are communicated to the relevant stakeholders. Responsibilities and tasks Conduct regular field visits to facilities providing mental health services, including Primary Health Care Centers and Community Mental Health Centers, to monitor activities and follow up on implementation progress. Follow up on the integration of mental health services within targeted facilities, assess progress in implementing mental health packages, and identify any operational gaps or support needs. Assess progress against agreed targets and activities, identify implementation barriers and emerging challenges, and provide practical recommendations to support effective implementation. Support the setup and use of the Health Information System (HIS), including the integration of mental health packages, and coordinate with relevant focal points to address technical or operational challenges. Administer facility-level checklists and surveys with relevant staff to monitor activity progress, collect information on emerging needs and challenges, and support the identification of areas requiring follow-up. Complete and maintain field documentation, including visit log sheets, monitoring checklists, and other relevant records, ensuring that information is accurate and up to date. Coordinate with the relevant supervisor and project focal points to communicate field-level findings, address identified challenges, and facilitate the provision of necessary technical or operational support. Prepare monthly reports summarizing activities conducted, facilities visited, progress achieved, challenges identified, and recommendations for further action. Required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Management, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related field. Additional training in mental health, healthcare coordination, or monitoring and evaluation is an asset. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in field coordination, public health, healthcare programmes, mental health, or related areas, including experience in field visits, data collection, monitoring, and reporting. Previous experience working with healthcare facilities, government institutions, or public health programmes is preferred. Familiarity with mental health services, primary healthcare systems, and health information systems is an advantage. Fluency in Arabic and English, with strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, with the ability to collect, organize, and report information accurately. Previous experience in project management and coordination is a plus, particularly in planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities. Valid driving license and access to a motorized vehicle, with flexibility to travel to targeted facilities as required. Demonstrated reliability, accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to confidentiality and professional standards.
