Prequalifications are invited for Tax Consultancy Services 3.2 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR INSURANCE UNDERWRITERS CATEGORY A In addition to the general requirements stipulated under Section 3.1 above, bidders applying under Category A shall submit: a. Valid operational license issued by the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) authorizing the bidder to undertake the relevant class(es) of insurance or Takaful business, as applicable; b. Companys NAICOM-approved Audited Accounts for the last three (3) years 2023, 2024 and 2025; c. Evidence of compliance with the applicable minimum capital and other prudential requirements prescribed by NAICOM for the relevant class(es) of insurance or Takaful business, as applicable; d. Evidence of compliance with applicable solvency requirements prescribed by NAICOM; e. Evidence of valid and adequate reinsurance treaty or Retakaful arrangements, as applicable, relevant to the class of insurance/Takaful business for which the bidder is applying; f. Evidence of suitably qualified full-time personnel with cognate experience in the relevant class(es) of insurance; g. Evidence of verifiable operational/office address in Nigeria; h. Statement signed by the Companys Chief Executive Officer confirming its staff strength and operational locations. For the avoidance of doubt, Takaful Insurance Companies shall be eligible to participate in Lot A2 Comprehensive Motor Insurance ONLY and shall not submit bids for any other Lot under Category A. Insurance Underwriters shall be evaluated having regard to their regulatory standing, capital and solvency position, reinsurance arrangements, relevant underwriting capacity, technical personnel and demonstrated experience in the applicable class(es) of insurance. For Lot A2 Comprehensive Motor Insurance, eligible conventional Insurance Underwriters and Takaful Insurance Companies shall be evaluated against the applicable regulatory and prudential requirements prescribed by NAICOM for their respective operating models, in addition to the common technical requirements applicable to the Lot. The reverse of each sealed envelope shall bear the name and address of the bidder and shall be deposited in the designated Tender Box not later than 12:00 noon on 13th of October, 2026.
