Tenders are invited for ARGONAUT E-Pump Switch Box (ESB) This ITT is a re-issue of ITT 25.OHBB.004, for which there was no selection. For this re-issue of the ITT, specification requirements have been updated. OHB System AG, a subsidiary of the European space and technology group OHB SE, is acting as subcontractor to Thales Alenia Space (TAS-I) who has been contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) as prime Contractor for the realization of the ARGONAUT Lunar Descent Element (LDE). Under its subcontract, OHB is responsible for the EPS, TT&C and GNC subsystems up to flight readiness. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the subcontractor for the 3 x Argonaut E-pump Switch Box (ESB). As part of the Argonaut LDE system one ESB shall provide the functionality of distribution and protection of electrical power to two Pumps (connected to one main engine) during all mission phases. As a high-power protection equipment, the ESB should be designed to sustain an average power throughput of 15.6 kW and to handle a transient of 180A (TBC) including margin for 0.5 s per output lines while providing discrete telemetry to the PCDU. The procurement of the ESB will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements (reference ESA BEST PRACTICES IPC(2012)65, rev.2).
