The organization was formed by a group of young people who were together searching for meaning and for a sense of belonging during a time of change. Their diverse backgrounds and common purpose made them a valuable team, giving humanitarian assistance to displaced people, hoping that the message of hope would spread through their diversity to contribute to building a better future. The family formed gradually grew and its mission persisted despite the fact that many of its founders have moved on. The House of Peace thrived as a virtual house holding an ever-expanding family with a humanitarian mission of promoting peace in society and advocating for conflict sensitivity. Our Vision We envision a diverse community living together in peace. Our Mission Threads of Peace, commonly known as House of Peace, is a local non-governmental organization established in 2015 in Lebanon. We are a team with diverse backgrounds and expertise, sharing similar values. We exist to support social peace, mainstream conflict sensitivity, and promote the well-being of different communities, civil society actors, the private sector, and the public sector. Our Core Values We as a team and individually are guided by the values of non-violence, participation, diversity, the promotion of a supportive environment, accountability, and development. Our understanding of each of these core values is outlined below. Non-violence: We strive to avoid harm and promote peace, seeking alternatives to violence. Participation: We believe in the right of every individual to have the opportunity to actively engage in decision-making processes, activities, and issues that affect their lives and communities. We are keen on pursuing positive change and growth in various aspects of life. # Background Threads of Peace is launching a nationwide digital awareness campaign to address hate speech, misinformation, discrimination, and harmful narratives that have contributed to increasing tensions between displaced populations and host communities in Lebanon. Increasing displacement, economic pressure, fear of resource scarcity, and competition over limited services have contributed to growing social tensions and harmful narratives targeting vulnerable communities. The campaign seeks to respond to these challenges through conflict-sensitive and engaging digital storytelling that promotes empathy, peaceful coexistence, solidarity, responsible communication, and social cohesion. # Objective The objective of this assignment is to produce and disseminate one high-quality, approximately two-minute awareness video that challenges harmful stereotypes and assumptions, encourages critical reflection, promotes understanding, and strengthens solidarity among different communities across Lebanon. The video will be produced in Arabic with English subtitles and will be suitable for dissemination through social media platforms, digital communication channels, and the Threads of Peace website. # Scope of Work The selected **production house, individual freelancer, filmmaker, videographer, or freelance/production team** will be responsible for: * Co-developing and refining the story and final storyboard in coordination with Threads of Peace. * Preparing and submitting a comprehensive production planning document before filming. * Coordinating proposed filming locations, filming dates, actors, production schedules, logistical requirements, and other relevant production arrangements. * Participating in coordination, planning, and pre-production meetings with Threads of Peace. * Filming and producing one high-quality, approximately two-minute horizontal campaign video. * Completing all required post-production activities, including editing, colour correction and grading, sound design and mixing, music, graphics, translation, subtitles, and other required production elements. * Ensuring that visibility requirements, funding acknowledgements, and relevant donor credits are properly reflected in the final production, where applicable. * Delivering the final video in publication-ready formats suitable for social media platforms and the Threads of Peace website. * Supporting dissemination of the final video through their professional networks, platforms, and relevant communication channels, where applicable. Threads of Peace will provide the initial storyboard and will remain actively involved throughout the production process. Threads of Peace will assign a director from its side and is open to a collaborative co-directing approach with the selected applicant. Threads of Peace will review and approve all key deliverables and provide feedback throughout the different stages of the assignment. # Timeline The assignment is expected to follow the timeline below: * Contract signature. * Kick-off meeting between Threads of Peace and the selected applicant. * Presentation, review, and discussion of the storyboard. * Pre-production and submission of the production planning document by the **end of September 2026**. * Production and filming. * Post-production, including editing, colour correction and grading, sound mixing, translation, subtitles, graphics, and application of visibility requirements. * Delivery of the final video by the **end of October 2026**. * Publication and dissemination of the final video in **early November 2026**. Applicants must demonstrate their availability and ability to meet the required implementation timeline. # Required Qualifications Applications are open to **registered production houses, independent filmmakers, videographers, individual creative freelancers, and freelance/production teams** with demonstrated capacity to deliver the assignment. Applicants should: * Demonstrate relevant experience in professional video production. * Preferably have experience related to humanitarian response, development, peacebuilding, advocacy, awareness-raising, social cohesion, or other socially sensitive communication. * Demonstrate a strong and relevant portfolio of previous video productions. * Demonstrate a clear understanding of the assignment and the communication sensitivity required. * Demonstrate alignment with the mission, values, and principles of Threads of Peace. * Be committed to an inclusive, non-partisan, conflict-sensitive, and do-no-harm approach. * Be willing to engage in a collaborative review and revision process, particularly considering the sensitivity of humanitarian and social communication. * Demonstrate the ability to respond effectively and promptly to feedback. * Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and complete the assignment within the required timeline. * Have the technical skills and production capacity necessary to deliver a professional and high-quality video. * Have access to appropriate professional filming, sound, editing, and production equipment. * Where applying as a team, clearly identify team members and their respective technical roles. Experience working directly with NGOs, humanitarian organizations, or peacebuilding actors is considered an advantage but is **not mandatory** where the applicant can demonstrate relevant creative and technical capacity through other professional work. **Formal company registration is not mandatory. Individual freelancers and freelance teams are eligible to apply and will be assessed based on their technical capacity, methodology, portfolio, previous experience, and value for money.** # Submission Requirements Applicants should submit the following: ## 1. Technical Proposal A concise technical proposal, preferably not exceeding 10 pages, including: * A brief company, freelancer, or team profile. * A summary of relevant experience and areas of expertise. * The applicants understanding of the assignment, project context, and campaign objective. * The proposed creative and technical methodology. * A brief work plan and proposed production timeline. * Proposed team members, roles, and relevant experience, where applicable. * Links to three to five relevant previous video productions. * Information on available professional equipment and technical capacity. * A description of how the applicant could support dissemination of the final video through professional or communication networks. * Any relevant ideas related to using the video to support public engagement and fundraising. ## 2.
