Culvert Replacement Thornton Ave At Laity Street . The City Of Maple Ridge (“City”) Invites Tenders Forthe Constructionof Three Replacement/Upgraded Culverts And Related Civil Construction Work Along Laity Street. This Project Involvesthe Replacement Of The Existing 1030 × 740 Mm Corrugated Metal Pipe (Cmp) Arch Culvert On Thornton Avenue. The Work Generally Consists Of Removing The Existing Culvert And The Existing Gabion Retaining Structures On Both Sides Of The Culvert And Replacing The Culvert With A New 1200 Mm Diameter Concrete Pipe. The Gabion Structures Will Be Replaced With 1V:2H Embankment Slopes. The Culvert Replacement Will Be Completed Using An Open-Cut Trench, Which Will Impact The Existing 525 Mm Concrete Storm Sewer Located On The East Side Of The Culvert. The Existing Storm Sewer Will Be Redirected And Connected To The New 1200 Mm Culvert To Avoid Conflicts With The Proposed Works. Further North, Near 12745 Laity Street, The Work Also Includes Upgrades To Two Existing Driveway Culverts. The Southern Culvert Will Be Upsized To The Largest Feasible Diameter Of 750 Mm And Will Include Two New Headwalls. The Northern Culvert Is Adequately Sized And Will Remain In Place, With New Headwalls Installed.
