As Part Of Federal Funding For Efficient Heating Networks, The Heidelberg Municipal Utilities Are Creating A Transformation Plan To Convert Heat Generation To Renewable Energies And To Decarbonize Their Own Heating Networks. One Component Of The Transformation Plan Is The Construction Of A Wastewater Heat Pump For The Heidelberg Sewage Treatment Plant. The Heat Obtained From The Treated Wastewater Is Fed Into The District Heating Network Of The Heidelberg Municipal Utility.
