Relocation Services – Federal City Of Bonn, Relocation Of All Holdings Of The City Archives And The City History Library Of Bonn. Phases And Components Of The Service: The Overall Service Is Divided Into An Upstream Concept And Planning Phase And The Subsequent Physical Moving Phase. Phase 1: Concept Service (Upstream) The Contractor Must Create A Detailed Moving, Logistics And Quality Concept Before The Move Logistics Begin. This Must, Among Other Things, Reflect Capacity Planning, Inventory Timing, Logistics For Sensitive Photographic Materials And Fragile Documents, And The System For Storage In The New Mobile Shelving Systems. The Concept Must Be Coordinated Closely With The Clients Relocation Management. Phase 2: Execution Of The Move Local Conditions: The Move Takes Place From The Central Location In Bonn-Zentrum, Where Around 17.5 Kilometers Of Shelves Of The Entire Inventory Are Stored, And From The External Warehouse, Also Located In The Bonn City Area, In Which Around 4 Kilometers Of Shelves Of The Entire Inventory Are Stored, To The New Location In Bonn-Zentrum. There Are Freight Elevators And Loading Zones At All Locations. Minimum Logistical Requirements: 1. Roll Container Systems: Due To Local Conditions (Shelf Row Spacing), The Roll Containers To Be Used Must Not Exceed A Maximum Width Of 75 Cm (Loading Sides). The Rolling Systems Must Be Designed So That They Can Be Loaded From The Narrow Sides (Front/Rear) In The Rack Aisle By Two Specialist Packers. The Security Containers To Be Used Must Generally Meet The Following Minimum Criteria: Loading Capacity: Around 6 Meters Of Shelves Per Container Equipment: Height-Adjustable Compartments (Compartment Height At Least 35 Cm) Security: Protection Of The Archives, E.G. Through A Tarpaulin Lock Or A Comparable Security System 2. Trucks: Due To A Limited Clearance Height Of 3.50 Meters At The Loading Point, The Trucks Used May Not Exceed This Height. Quantity Structure And Logistical Distribution: As Mentioned In The Short Description, The Total Holdings Comprise Around 21.5 Kilometers Of Shelves, Of Which Around 17 Kilometers Of Shelves Are Archive Holdings And Around 4.5 Kilometers Of Shelves Are Library Holdings. Around 80 Percent Of The Archive Holdings Are Packed In Archive Boxes, Less Than 20 Percent Are Unpacked File Folders. About 10 Percent Of The Library Holdings Are Packed In Archive Boxes. Shelving System: Around 60% Of The Total Inventory Is Stored At The Old Location In Mobile Racking Systems And Around 40% In Standing Racks. At The New Location, Storage Takes Place Almost Entirely In Mobile Racking Systems. Special Formats: The Total Inventory Includes Around 100 Running Meters Of Archive Boxes/Folders In Special Formats, Around 200 Quiver Boxes And Around 150 Sheet Rolls As Well As Around 250 Running Meters. Large-Format Archival Materials In Map Cabinets (The Map Cabinets Themselves Must Remain At The Old Location; New Map Cabinets Are Available At The New Location). Sensitive Holdings: A Sub-Stock Of Around 1.6 Kilometers Of Shelves Includes Highly Sensitive Photographic Materials And Historical Image Media. Z
