Call for Consultancies: Staff Wellbeing Consultant. Closing Date: Wednesday, 16. Sep 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Mental Health Duration of Contract: Detailed timeline per deliverable to be agreed upon with the consultant. Oxfam GB is seeking a qualified licensed psychologist/psychotherapist who has advanced academic degree in Psychology to design and deliver a psychosocial support/psychological counselling package. The package should address the cumulative impact of prolonged stress, high workloads, crisis exposure, and burnout, with a focus on strengthening emotional resilience, supporting stress and burnout management, and helping staff develop healthy coping strategies and improved work-life balance. The support should also provide staff with practical tools to recognize early signs of stress, exhaustion, and burnout, strengthen their capacity for recovery, and maintain their well-being while working in a highly demanding and continuously changing environment. Oxfam is a global movement working to end the injustice of poverty and inequality. In Lebanon, Oxfam has been present since 1993, delivering humanitarian assistance and supporting vulnerable populations through economic empowerment, protection, and resilience-building programs.Oxfam staff in Lebanon continue to operate under exceptionally demanding, uncertain, and often distressing conditions. The compounded impact of Lebanons prolonged economic and political crisis, the ongoing humanitarian and refugee response, repeated organizational changes, funding constraints, and increasing operational demands has taken a significant toll on staff well-being. Persistent funding pressures and reductions in staffing and resources have resulted in heavier workloads, while core responsibilities and programme demands continue to grow. Staff are often required to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work under tight deadlines, and respond to rapidly changing needs. These pressures have been further intensified by an ongoing war in Lebanon that started in 2024, which introduced an additional layer of operational, emotional, and personal stress. Staff have had to continue delivering critical work while navigating heightened insecurity, uncertainty, disruption, and the psychological impact of another major crisis. For many staff, this has compounded stress and fatigue that had already accumulated over several years of working through successive crises and increasingly challenging operating conditions. The combination of sustained high workloads, limited resources, organizational uncertainty, and crisis-related pressures has increasingly affected staff morale, motivation, and overall well-being.In this context, improving staff well-being is increasingly critical. Oxfam aims to ensure that staff have access to appropriate psychosocial and practical support and a working environment that actively promotes a healthier work-life balance. Supporting staff is essential not only for their health and well-being, but also for maintaining the organizations ability to sustain critical work in Lebanon amid an increasingly complex and demanding environment.
