Expression of Interest for Supply of a Laser Scanner Vibrometer The acquisition of a state of the art Laser Doppler Vibrometry (LDV) system is essential to support JRC research activities on innovative digital technologies for civil infrastructure monitoring and resilience. The LDV will support the development of non contact, high resolution vibration based diagnostics that can be embedded within a digital twin framework for bridges, tunnels and historic structures. An LDV system provides the unique capability to measure surface velocity and modal parameters with micron scale precision over a wide frequency range, without the need for mass loading the structure.
