As part of the Bedayati Solar Skills Training Academy, we are launching an industry-focused vocational training program designed to prepare participants for employment in Lebanons renewable energy sector through practical, market-driven training and employer engagement. Location: Saida, Lebanon Duration 12 weeks | 3 days/week | 1.5 hours/day | Total: 54 training hours Training Days: Monday-WednesdayFriday (1.5 h/day) Training Delivery: Laboratory and Practical Workshops Role Overview The Assistant Trainer / Lab Technician will support the Training Facilitator in delivering practical and technical training in Solar PV installation and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role will focus particularly on laboratory preparation, practical exercises, equipment management, participant supervision, and safe implementation of hands-on training activities. Key Responsibilities Technical Training Support: Assist the Training Facilitator in delivering technical and practical sessions covering electrical fundamentals, Solar PV systems, modules, mounting structures, inverters, BESS, electrical wiring and protection, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and safety. Practical Laboratory Support: Prepare and organize tools, equipment, training stations, PV modules, inverters, batteries, cables, and protection devices. Support demonstrations and supervise participants during practical exercises and installation simulations. Participant Coaching & Support: Provide hands-on technical guidance to participants, supervise practical exercises, encourage teamwork and problem-solving, and support participants in developing safe and professional working practices. Equipment & Laboratory Management: Maintain tools and training equipment, conduct routine checks, organize laboratory and storage areas, maintain inventory records, and report damaged equipment or requirements for replacement and procurement. Health & Safety: Ensure that practical activities, tools, equipment, and laboratory areas comply with occupational health and safety requirements and reinforce safe working practices among participants. Assessment & Evaluation Support: Assist with practical assessments, skills evaluation checklists, participant progress monitoring, and documentation of practical competencies. Training Administration: Coordinate closely with the Training Facilitator and Bedayati staff, maintain accurate practical training and equipment records, and support required training documentation and reporting. Qualifications & Experience Relevant university, technical or vocational qualification in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electromechanical Systems, Electrical Installation, or a related field. Good practical knowledge of Solar PV systems, electrical wiring, inverters, battery storage/BESS, protection devices, installation techniques, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and electrical safety. Practical experience with Solar PV installation and electrical systems. Experience with BESS is highly desirable. Previous experience supporting technical or vocational training is an asset. Strong safety awareness and ability to work effectively with trainees. Good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Selection Criteria Candidates will be assessed based on their Solar PV and electrical knowledge, hands-on installation experience, laboratory and equipment management skills, safety awareness, communication skills, experience supporting vocational learners, and overall suitability for the role.
