This Is A Voluntary Advance Notification Of The Upcoming Construction Contract. The Purpose Of The Notice Is To Inform The Market About The Renovation Contract For Suomenlinnas Service Piers Before The Actual Procurement Notice Is Published. The Actual Call For Tenders Will Be Published In September 2026. The Goal Of The Overhaul Is To Ensure The Use And Safety Of The Pier Structures For At Least The Next 30 Years. The Contract Includes Repairs To The Quay Structures, Including Steel Structures, Pontoons, Bulwarks, Fenders, Land Supports, Quay Equipment, As Well As Related Marine Work And Work Site Arrangements. In The Repair, The Vertical Structures Of Katajanokkas Tihtaals Will Be Renewed, Other Structures Will Be Repaired. In Addition, The Guide Funnels At The Front Edge Of Both Halyards Will Be Enlarged And A New Support Frame Will Be Built For The Halyards. The Repair Measures Include, Among Other Things, Repairs Of Erosion Damage To The Ground Support, Corrosion Repairs Of Pontoons And Bilge Structures, Cleaning And Repainting Of Steel Structures, And Local Repairs Of Piles, Concrete Structures And Fenders. The Work Must Take Into Account That The Water Area Surrounding Suomenlinna Has A Lot Of Underwater Cultural Heritage. The Estimated Total Value Of The Contract Falls Below The Threshold Value Applied In Special Sector Procurements.
