Construction Work – Mp- 070091 N13 Ep11 As Avers - Bärenburg - As Zillis, Los 2 Baumeisterarbeiten Nord. The N13 Is One Of Two Important National Road Connections Between The Northern Swiss Plateau And Ticino. The Route Also Runs Through The Bärenburg Tunnel, Which Is Due To Be Repaired In The Next Few Years. In Order To Maintain The Important North-South Connection During Work In The Tunnel, Traffic Should Be Partially Or Completely Rerouted Via The Cantonal Road. To Ensure This, The First Step Will Be To Adapt The Route Between Tscherabach And The Bärenburg Maintenance Exit To Future Use Over A Length Of Approx. 430 M. The Route Will Be Widened To A Total Width Of At Least 14.75 M In The Section To Accommodate 2 Uphill Lanes And One Downhill Lane With A Shoulder. To Widen The Route On The Valley Side, Two Retaining Walls With A Total Length Of Almost 350 M Must Be Built. The Foundations Of The Noise Barrier On The Mountain Side Will Also Be Repaired In This Section. With The Route, The Existing Drainage Pipes, Raw Cable Blocks, Vehicle Restraint Systems And Wildlife Protection Fences Will Also Be Adapted To The Current State Of The Art. Traffic Should Be Affected As Little As Possible During The Construction Period. During Construction Of The Section, Traffic On The N13 Will Be Reduced From Three To Two Lanes, One In Each Direction.
