Construction Work – Uw Wittenwil – Baumeister Gu. The Wittenwil Substation (Uw) Was Put Into Operation In The Early 1990S. The Secondary Technology And The Auxiliary Systems Have Reached The End Of Their Technical Lifespan And Must Be Replaced. The Outdoor Switchgear Is In Good Condition And Does Not Require Any Adjustment. There Is A High Degree Of Integration With The Systems Of The Previous Operator Axpo. In Order To Maintain The Safe Operation Of The System, Various Systems Must Be Renewed. Swissgrid Is Therefore Replacing The Secondary Technology And The Auxiliary Systems And Is Building Its Own Substation Building (Uwg) In Order To Achieve The Greatest Possible Separation From The Axpo Systems.
