Objective/purpose of consultancy: The selected consultant/trainer will train frontliners/volunteers on emergency management and psychosocial support. Scope of Work The consultant/trainer will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Design and Delivery of Thematic Training Workshops The consultant will be responsible for the following tasks: Prepare and develop training materials, presentations, practical exercises, and supporting resources tailored to the Lebanese context; pre and post-test, evaluation Deliver up to three-day thematic training workshops targeting 30 frontliners/volunteers Adapt the training content and methodology based on the needs and capacities of participants; Draft training reports summarizing sessions conducted, participant engagement, key findings, and recommendations; and proposed follow-up actions. Design, establish, and operationalize a standardized referral system, including referral pathways, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), referral forms, informed consent procedures, confidentiality protocols, and referral tracking tools. Provide ongoing technical support to project teams to ensure the appropriate identification, documentation, referral, and follow-up of vulnerable individuals requiring specialized services. Prepare technical reports documenting the establishment of the referral system, capacity-building activities, referral statistics, lessons learned, challenges encountered, and recommendations for strengthening referral mechanisms and access to specialized services throughout the project implementation. Training Topics The sessions will cover key topics for humanitarian assistance and community support, including: basic principles of psychosocial support (PSS); ii) Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) approaches in activities with children and adolescents; GBV, PFA, iii) Protection principles and identification of the needs of vulnerable people; iv) Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA); v) Referral mechanisms and guidance on available specialist services. RIMS Referral Information Management System The training will be delivered through interactive and participatory workshops, including practical exercises, simulations and discussions of real-life cases that practitioners may encounter in the field. Qualifications/level requirements The consultant/trainer will work under the direct supervision of NAHNOOs project team and coordinate closely with relevant focal points throughout the assignment. Applicants with the following experience are welcome to apply: Advanced university degree in Psychology, Social Work, Public Health, Humanitarian Studies, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), protection, referral systems, or humanitarian programming. Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering participatory training for humanitarian staff, volunteers, or community workers. Experience in RIMS Referral Information Management System is a plus Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering participatory training for humanitarian staff, volunteers, or community workers. Proven experience in developing referral mechanisms, SOPs, and referral tools within humanitarian or social service settings. Strong knowledge of protection principles, PSEA, Psychological First Aid (PFA), confidentiality, and referral pathways. Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or donor-funded projects in Lebanon is an asset. Excellent facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills in English and Arabic.
