These Rules Refer To The Conditions And Technical Characteristics Required For The Acquisition Of Adult/Pediatric Identification Bracelets, Hereinafter: “The Bracelets”, For A Period Of Twelve (12) Months. Correct Patient Identification Is A Fundamental Pillar In Clinical Safety And A Mandatory Characteristic For The Accreditation Of Our Hospital. Exempt Resolution 2004 Of March 10, 2023, Together With The Unequivocal Patient Identification Protocol, Establishes That Patient Identification Must Be Standardized From The Moment Of Admission By Placing A Bracelet. Although It Is Mandatory For Newborns, Pediatric Patients, People With Compromised Conscience, People With Intellectual Disabilities And Those Who Enter The Ward (Higher Risk Groups), The Hospital Has Decided To Extend This Measure To All Patients Who Are Admitted. This Includes Those Receiving Emergency Care, Hospitalization, Outpatient Procedures With Anesthesia Or Sedation, Chemotherapy, Blood Transfusions, And Hemodialysis. Inadequate Patient Identification Is A Significant Cause Of Incidents And Adverse Events In The Healthcare Environment. For This Reason, The World Health Organization (Who) Established Correct Patient Identification As One Of Its Nine Solutions For Safety In 2007. Meeting This Requirement Is Crucial For Our Hospital, Not Only To Maintain The Safety Of Our Patients, But Also To Ensure Our Accreditation. The Use Of Bracelets Is A Mandatory Feature, And Failure To Comply Could Jeopardize The Institutions Accreditation Process. The Acquisition Will Be Carried Out In Accordance With The Annual Purchasing Plan 2026 (Pac 2026), Current Legislation, Administrative And Technical Bases, Technical Specifications Detailed In Annex No. 3, And Among Others That Constitute The Required Call For Bids.
