Tenders are invited for LISA-ITT-011 Payload Harness The gravitational wave observatory LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna) has been selected as ESAs third large class mission (L-3) within the Cosmic Vision programme. LISAs mission objective is to observe gravitational waves from space in the frequency band of 0.1 mHz to 1 Hz, not accessible from ground-based observatories. The mission architecture consists of a constellation of three spacecraft placed at the vertexes of a near-equilateral triangle with side length of about 2.5 million km (LISA Constellation). An overview of the LISA mission and its objectives can be found on the Agency website here: https://www.esa.int/Science_Exploration/Space_Science/LISA OHB, prime contractor for the programme, has been contracted by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the realization of the LISA programme, building the industrial consortium. The objective of the present procurement is the selection of the subcontractor for the LISA Payload Harness. The LISA payload harness shall provide the electrical interconnection between the payload units and sensors, ensuring reliable transmission of power, control, and science signals under the LISA mission environmental constraints. The harness design prioritizes ultra-low noise performance, high stability and electromagnetic compatibility to support the precision interferometric measurements required by the mission. The procurement of the Payload Harness will be conducted in line with the ESA Best Practices for the Selection of Subcontractors by Prime Contractors in the frame of ESAs Major Procurements.
