As Part Of The Zero Waste Strategy, The State Of Berlin Pursues The Goal Of Avoiding Waste And Recycling Unavoidable Waste In A High-Quality Manner. Kitchen And Garden Waste Continues To Represent The Largest Single Fraction Of Berlins Household Waste. At The Same Time, There Is Still Potential To Improve The Separate Collection Of Organic Waste And To Avoid Food Waste In Private Households. The Senate Department For Mobility, Transport, Climate Protection And The Environment (Senmvku) Therefore Intends To Continue Existing Information And Communication Measures, To Further Develop Them In A Targeted Manner And To Publicly Award The Conception And Implementation Of Selected Communication And Participation Measures On Organic Waste And Food Appreciation Via A Service Contract For The Period From The Award Of The Contract In 2026 To November 30, 2027.
