Architectural, Engineering And Planning Services – Planning Services For The Floodplain Connection On The Plittersdorf Old Rhine. As Part Of A Cooperation Project Between The Wsv, The Nature Conservation Association Of Germany E.V. (Nabu), Represented By The Institute For River And Floodplain Ecology Karlsruhe Branch (Nabu Ifa Ka) And The State Of Baden-Württemberg, Represented By The Karlsruhe Regional Council (Rpk), Several Individual Measures Are Being Carried Out On The Banks Of The Rhine (Area Of Responsibility Of The Wsv) And In The Floodplain (Area Of Responsibility Of Nabu Ifa Ka) Planned In The Plittersdorfer Altrhein Project Area. The Upper Rhine Waterways And Shipping Authority (Wsa Orh) Plans To Implement The Three Individual Measures On The Bank Within Its Responsibility As Part Of Early Compensation Measures For Transport Expansion Projects In The Upper Rhine Lowland And Rhine-Main Lowland Natural Areas. The Three Wsa Individual Measures Include An Area With Bank Redesign, Two Structures To Connect Floodplain Waters (Ice Canal And Great Bear Lake) And Associated Groyne Conversions. The Awarding Of The Planning Services Includes The Two Structures For The Floodplain Connections Including Adjustments To The Control Structures And Dismantling Of The Existing Structure, But Not The Bank Redesign. The Planning For The Replacement Construction Of The Intake Structure On The Ice Channel At Rh-Km 339,300 And The Creation Of A New Downstream Connection Of The Großer Bärensee To The Rhine At Rh-Km 343,200 Serves As The Basis For The Subsequent Tender For Construction.
