Public Institute Turizem Ljubljana Is A Destination Organization Founded In 2001 By The Municipality Of Ljubljana With The Aim Of Promoting The Tourist Destination Of Ljubljana. In 2012, The Institute Also Took Over The Promotion And Marketing Function Of The Central Slovenia Region, Which Includes 24 Municipalities In Addition To Ljubljana. Turizem Ljubljana Today Operates As A Modern Destination Organization, Which, In Addition To Promotional And Marketing Activities, Takes Care Of The Development And Management Of The Destination And The Tourist Ecosystem. The Institute Also Operates The Ljubljana Congress Office, Which Takes Care Of Business Tourism. The New Strategy 2028-2034 Is Not An Update Of The Existing Document, But A Conceptually New Approach To The Role Of The Institution And The Management Of The Destination. It Replaces The Existing Sub-Sectoral Strategy Documents — For The Meetings Industry, Cultural Tourism And Events, And Sustainable And Smart Tourism — With One Overarching Modular Framework.
