This Is Not A Procurement Announcement But An Invitation To Market Dialogue. With This Announcement, The Library Services Of The City Of Jyväskylä Are Surveying Market Participants Views On The Transport Of Library Materials Between Central Libraries For Planning The Acquisition And The Actual Request For Tenders. Central Libraries Are A Joint Operation Of 23 Municipalities. Central Libraries Include All Public Libraries In The Province Of Central Finland And The Kuhmoinen Library Located In Pirkanmaa. Regular Transports Of Library Materials Run Between The Main Libraries Of The Municipalities. Transports Consist Of Returned And Reserved Books And Other Loanable Material. Currently, Library Materials Are Delivered To The Receiving Library In Transport Bags Or Boxes With The Libraries Address Information. Sorting Is Also Done At The Service Providers Premises. Any Storage Space Must Be Suitable For Storing Library Materials (Humidity, Temperature, Cleanliness, Dust-Free). Transportation Times May Vary During The Contract Period. In Addition, The Transport Times May Be Affected By Changes In Offices Or Changes In The Library Network. A Total Of 23 Locations Are Included In The Transports. In Addition To The City Of Jyväskylä, The Central Libraries Are Located In Hankasalmi Municipality, Joutsa Municipality, Jämsä Municipality, Kannonkoski Municipality, Karstula Municipality, Keuruu Municipality, Kinnula Municipality, Kivijärvi Municipality, Konnevesi Municipality, Kuhmoinen Municipality, Kyjärvi Municipality, Laukaa Municipality, Luhanga Municipality, Multia Municipality, Muurami Municipality, Petäjävesi Municipality, Saarijärvi Municipality, Toivakan Municipality, Uurainen Municipality, Äänekoski City And Pihtiputaa And Viitasaari Library. Transports Are Made To Each Municipality At Least 2 Times A Week. Route Planning And Scheduling Is The Suppliers Task Within The Given Time Windows. The Transport Includes Loading And Unloading Of The Material To Be Transported In Accordance With The Contract At The Destinations Specified By The Customer. There Are Transmissions Between All Libraries. The Quantities Of Goods To Be Transported Vary According To Need. A Total Of Approximately 200-300 Parcels Of Goods Are Transported Per Week. The Amount To Be Picked Up From An Individual Library Can Vary From 1-2 Volumes To Tens Of Volumes, Depending On The Size Of The Library. The Service Is Intended To Be Put Out To Tender During The Fall/Winter Of 2026 And The Contract To Start In 2027. A More Precise Schedule Will Be Specified As The Procurement Preparation Progresses.
