Optical Instruments – Framework Agreement Regarding The Supply And Maintenance Of Electro-Optical Systems. The Ministry Of Defences Material And Procurement Agency (Fmi) Is Offering A Framework Agreement For The Supply And Maintenance Of Electro-Optical Systems For Use In The Coast Guards And The Marine Home Guards Boats, Which Are Primarily To Be Used To Locate People In The Water In Connection With Rescue Operations, But Must Also Be Able To Be Used For, Among Other Things, Navigation In Reduced Visibility And Ship Inspections. Electro-Optical Systems (Eo) Are Digital Camera Systems, Where Most Consist Of An Ordinary Daylight Camera, As Well As A Secondary Heat-Sensitive Camera (Thermal Camera) Which Measures Thermal Radiation And Can Therefore Be Used Without Light To Identify Objects. Fmis Procurement Of The Electro-Optical Systems Includes A Lightweight System, A Medium-Range System And A Long-Range System. The Tendered Framework Agreement Partly Involves The Acquisition And Installation Of The Electro-Optical Systems In The Defenses Vessels, But Also Maintenance Of The Systems And Training In The Use Of The Defenses Personnel In The Use And Maintenance Of The Systems.
