Each bidder must include with their administrative documents a bid security, paid by hand and stamped, issued by an organization or financial institution authorized by the Minister of Finance to issue guarantees for public procurement. A list of these institutions is included in document 13 of the tender documents. The amount of the bid security is one million four hundred thousand (1,400,000) FCFA and it must be valid for thirty (30) days beyond the initial bid validity period. Failure to include a bid security issued by a first-class bank or a first-category financial institution authorized by the Ministry of Finance to issue guarantees for public procurement will result in the outright rejection of the bid. A bid security submitted but unrelated to the tender in question will be considered missing. A bid security presented by a bidder during the bid opening session will be inadmissible.
