Type Of Service The “Wegweiser” Prevention Program Has Been Active In The Area Of Islamism Prevention In North Rhine-Westphalia Since 2014. Under The Guiding Principle Of “Getting Out Before Getting In,” The Program Starts Early In Radicalization Processes. The Target Groups Are Particularly Young People And Their Social Environment (E.G. Family, Friends, Teachers). The Program Offers Advice, Support And Awareness-Raising Events On Topics Such As Islamism And Radicalization. At The End Of 2023, The Previous Offering Was Expanded To Include A Digital Component. A New, Central Website With A Chat Function Opened Up Additional Low-Threshold Access To The Signpost Advisors. Inquiries From The Chat Are Regularly Transferred To One Of The Signpost Advice Centers. The Chat Component Created The First Online-Offline Reference Structure Within The Signpost Program.
