Tenders Are Invited For Marine Construction Works – Enterprise Contract Regarding The Clean-Up Of Pollution On The Beach And In The Sea Near The Coast As Well As The Re-Establishment Of The Beach And Seabed, Etc.
Marine Construction Works – Enterprise Contract Regarding The Clean-Up Of Pollution On The Beach And In The Sea Near The Coast As Well As The Re-Establishment Of The Beach And Seabed, Etc.. The Tender Concerns A Main Contract Covering The Clean-Up Of Pollution At Himmark Strand On Als. The Pollution Is One Of The 10 Generation Pollutions. The Purpose Of The Clean-Up Is To Ensure That The Pollution No Longer Poses A Risk To The Aquatic Environment. By Removing The Pollution, The Aim Is Also To Ensure That The Area Can Be Used Recreationally, Including Lifting The Bathing Ban And The Warning Against Fishing. The Main Contract Includes Environmental Clean-Up Of Two Coastal Action Areas On The East Coast Of Als Next To The Village Of Himmark. The Intervention Areas Are Located Partly On Beach Areas/Beach Meadows And Partly On The Lake Territory And Amount To 10,000 M² And 35,000 M² Respectively. The Intervention Areas Are Temporarily Dammed So That The Water Table Can Be Lowered, And Excavation And Soil Handling Can Be Carried Out Relatively Dry. The Containment On The Lake Territory Is Carried Out By Rockfalls With A Water-Blocking Sheet Pile Wall, Which In Some Areas Is Anchored To An Anchor Sheet Pile. Cleanup Is Carried Out By Excavation, And Contaminated Soil Is Taken For Soil Cleaning At Approved Soil Receivers. It Is Expected That 125,000 Tonnes Of Contaminated Soil Will Be Removed In The Vicinity. In Addition, It Is Expected That Some Land In Addition To This Can Be Reused For Refilling Within The Area. Pumped-Up Groundwater And Seawater Are Directed To A Purification Plant That Is Established On The Beach. The Treatment Plant Is Expected To Be Able To Treat Up To 70 M³ Per Hour As Peak Load. As Part Of Mitigation Measures In Relation To Natural Impact, It Is Expected That 60,000 M² Of Eel Grass Will Be Planted In The Vicinity Of The Project. Likewise, 6,000 M² Of Stone Reefs Must Be Established Nearby. In Order To Be Able To Carry Out The Work, A Construction Site Must Be Established, Existing Roads Must Be Realigned And A Temporary Carriageway Must Be Established. Affected Areas Must Be Restored.
