Tenders are invited for Disaster Risk Management Consultant (Emergency Response Consultancy) 1. Organizational Setting: Juzoor for Health and Social Development (Juzoor) is a leading Palestinian NGO dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Palestinian families and promoting health rights in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza. Juzoor promotes an interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral approach to improving the health and social well-being of individuals, families and communities based on national targets and needs. Juzoor works on multiple levels with civil society organizations, professionals, governmental bodies, service providers, and the community at large. Our principles are to build local capacities and empower local communities, targeting in specific women, children and youth, through innovative programs that address their psychosocial, educational, economic and reproductive health needs. 2. Project Background: Juzoor is implementing the Strengthening the resilience of the local populations and structures in the Palestinian Territories project, in partnership with ANERA , and under supervision from Johanniter International Services, who is responsible for overall project management/control, quality assurance, reporting, and visibility of the project. This project aims to support vulnerable communities in West bank. 3. Objective of this ToR: Under the project (Strengthening the resilience of the local populations and structures in the Palestinian Territories), and with the generous support from Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe (JUH), Juzoor will establish or reactivate 12 Disaster Risk Management (DRM) committees, establish DRM plans, and capacitate committee members on DRM topics in 12 different locations. Under this TOR, Juzoor is looking for a qualified Disaster Risk Management (DRM)/Emergency Response consultant/consulting company, to support in the establishment and activations of 12 DRM committees and to lead the development of comprehensive DRM plans and trainings for the committees. This activity aims to strengthen local populations steadfastness, preparedness, emergency response, and recovery by identifying risks, current resources, and capacities.
