Call for Consultancies: Staff Care Consultant Closing Date: Thursday, 25. In light of the ongoing emergency context in Lebanon, Médecins du Monde (MdM) is seeking a qualified Staff Care Consultant to support the well-being of its personnel.As an organization with a longstanding commitment to Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) in humanitarian settings, MdM recognizes that during emergency response, staff are exposed to cumulative stressors, high workloads, security concerns, and prolonged uncertainty, which may affect their psychosocial well-being, resilience, and capacity to deliver quality services. In line with MdMs MHPSS approach and duty of care commitments, the organization aims to strengthen staff well-being through structured staff care interventions that promote self-care, stress management, peer support, and healthy coping mechanisms. These interventions are intended to support staff resilience, mitigate psychosocial risks associated with emergency response work, foster a supportive work environment, and contribute to the continuity and quality of humanitarian programming. Duration of the collaboration: Three months, from July 2026 to September 2026. Timeline: 2 hours per session, two sessions per month. The proposed consultancy fee would be 150$ per session. Location: All the sessions will have to be provided in person, in MdM Beirut Office. DESCRIPTION OF THE ASSIGNMENT The Staff Care consultant will be responsible for: Providing group staff care sessions to Médecins du Monde (MdM) employees during the current emergency and high-stress context, with an expected frequency of two group sessions per month over a period of three months. Developing tailored self-care messages and practical coping strategies relevant to staff working in conflict-affected and humanitarian settings. Preparing and submitting a methodology and facilitation plan for the proposed group staff care sessions. Delivering staff care sessions according to a schedule agreed upon with MdM MHPSS Coordinator. Assessing staff psychological well-being and identifying individuals who may require additional support, with recommendations for referral to specialized services when appropriate and in accordance with ethical and confidentiality standards. Submitting a monthly report summarizing activities conducted, participation levels, key observations, and emerging trends related to staff well-being. Reports should include practical recommendations to address and mitigate psychosocial risks affecting staff while ensuring strict adherence to professional ethics, confidentiality, privacy, and data protection principles. The consultant should ensure that all activities are implemented in accordance with the following principles: Confidentiality: All information shared by staff members during sessions or individual consultations shall be treated with the utmost confidentiality and managed in line with professional ethical standards. Accessibility and Inclusiveness: The psychosocial support service shall be responsive, professional, respectful, culturally appropriate, and accessible to all staff members, fostering a safe and supportive environment. Do No Harm: All interventions should prioritize staff well-being, safety, dignity, and psychological protection, ensuring that support activities do not inadvertently increase distress or vulnerability. Professionalism and Ethical Practice: Sessions should be delivered in accordance with recognized MHPSS, and staff care standards, maintaining clear professional boundaries and ethical conduct at all times. Profile: Masters degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field. Valid Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) license to practice in Lebanon. Minimum of three years of professional experience providing psychotherapy and/or psychological support services. Specialized training in staff care, staff well-being, resilience, stress management, or related approaches. Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering staff care interventions within humanitarian, development, or emergency response settings. Strong understanding of MHPSS principles, staff well-being, burnout prevention, and psychosocial risk mitigation in humanitarian contexts. Excellent communication, facilitation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. Excellent spoken and written Arabic and English. Strong commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and safeguarding principles.
