The Subject Of The Investment Includes The Renovation Of Existing Floating Piers In The Locations Listed Below And The Construction Of New Floating Piers In New Locations. Wooden Bridges With Polyethylene Floats That Have Been In Use For Many Years Have Suffered Significant Degradation. The Supporting Structure (Joists) And The Plank - I.E. The Deck Board - Require Replacement. The Condition Of The Floats Allows For Fully Safe Use Of The Piers With A New Supporting Structure And Deck. The Wood Will Be Protected With Pressure Impregnation. In Addition To Replacing The Structure And Decks, Additional Strengthening Of The Pier Foundations By Adding Dead Anchors And Stiff Mooring Lines Will Increase Their Stability And Resistance To Wind And Wave Pressure.
